  1. Notice Laddy Muck's thread called Blue or Red wool has far outstripped this thread in terms of views. 450 guinea pigs so far, including me.
  2. By heck Laddy. 450 views already. They weren't all yours were they?
  3. Yeah, when I was eating at a table. How does that help?
  4. Modesty forbids.
  5. I'm glad my son isn't stigmatised by the type of hyphen he hasn't got. Having his father is sufficient.
  6. Right, so at the moment it's 38/1.....soon to be 2. Who are you?
  7. Asset Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > AM - hyphens are between the zero and the equals > sign So they are. There's even a little one and a big one. Why is that?
  8. Some people have taken it to the level of 'het' do you not agree?
  9. Today(I will have to improvise here as because I am writing this I can't actually see what I intend writing about, so please bear with me) pipsqueak asked for a copy of the Evening Standard from Thursday. There were 3 posts,2 of which were by pip (pardon me if I didn't get your user name quite right but my short term memory if akin to that of a goldfish). There were over 250 views of this startling title of a thread (sorry pip, I know it was important to you and it had a happy ending, but in the greater scheme of things it wasn't hugely important). Basically I would like to know if the ratio of posts on a thread to the number of views has a meaning? I don't get why the most clearly written subject matter, like pips or say 'does anyone know where to buy blue wool', gets so many views. Any enlightening theories out there or even a formula to determine if people are just plain bloody 'nosey'? PS I did look Pip and happened to have Monday,Wednesday and Friday but not Thursday.
  10. My son doesn't have a hyphen between his names. Is he missing out? Where did hyphens come from, anyone?
  11. My wife is Spanish. She has her father's name, then her mother's and after we were married, mine was added. The law in Spain has since changed and mine got dropped. My son in the Spanish style, has my surname and my wife's father's name. Given that he was born in England, speaks fluent Spanish and has an Irish father, he doesn't even know what nationality he is, never mind caring about what he is called. And some people get het up about being called a Lady. It's a mad world.
  12. So how many women take their husbands surname as a matter of interest?
  13. Good retort from Mr.Lennon.
  14. There is a door but it is not manned by a man with a beard. It's on the inside and the closest thing I ever experienced to what could be described as 'God'. Not with the aid of LSD I should add.
  15. Agree. Completely stupid, and OTT arguements do women no service at all. Neither does insulting other people who disagree with one's rose tinted view of things.
  16. Bankroll.........now there's a term completely alien to me!
  17. I've predicted it to be 1-0 but you know how bad I am at that Seamus.

  19. < 1.5 = 2.96 < 2.5 = 1.63
  20. Right, thanks. I've probably p***** my niece right off then as I removed her tags.
  21. Would you dare go < 1.5 with Stoke v Sunderland?
  22. Can you do a multiple for over/under on BF Quids?
  23. I'm no big user of FB but have found it useful in getting/keeping in touch with mostly extended family who I haven't seen in years. Recently I tagged a very old family photo with a couple of the names of people who are related. It was the first time I tagged anything. Next thing I find others are tagging people in the photo (it was a big group photo)who I hadn't, which I thought was fair enough. Then a couple tagged themselves in it, even though they weren't in the picture. One was a niece and the other a cousin. I found this a bit weird. Is this normal practice on FB if there is such a thing? I quickly found I could change my settings so it couldn't be done without my permission. It still left me a little baffled though.
  24. Mick won't like this....... FORMER Barcelona star Bernd Schuster has criticised Celtic for their tactics in the 2-1 Champions League defeat at the Nou Camp on Tuesday night and claimed the Hoops do not deserve to be in the competition. The former West Germany midfielder, who also played for and managed Real Madrid , accused Neil Lennon's men of being too negative in their Group G clash with the Catalan giants which ended in defeat when Jordi Alba scored an injury-time goal for the home side. Celtic were widely praised for their display but Schuster was quoted in the Scottish Sun as saying: "I'm fed up of seeing these type of matches. "There should not be teams like Celtic in the Champions League. "We saw it last year with Chelsea. It was a very bad example for football and it is regrettable that they became European champions. "You see Celtic defending with 10 men and almost snatching a point - that is not fair. "I believe the coach of Celtic viewed many times the video of Chelsea last season against Barcelona. "He decided to repeat the system, but the ultra-defensive system is not football. "Chelsea have now generated a school for teams like Celtic to study. It would have been unjust if a team that defended with 10 men had taken one point in the home of the best club in the world. "UEFA needs to change this phase of the competition if they want to breathe life into the Champions League. "Celtic do not merit their place if they are going to play in this style."
