  2. Thank you Alan Medic. You're right I have been quiet, mostly because I have been busy working but also because the whole bloody reason I set this thread up was to try and meet new friends that I could go and watch the match with. However, despite a lovely initial response, the thread has been hijacked by some very petty people who feel the need to question my loyalty as a supporter and I'm sick to the back teeth of it! I am loyal to Manchester United because of my heritage, a family pride that I should not have to justify. I CANNOT afford to get up to Old Trafford every home game and that is a shame but it doesn't question my loyalty just because I'm not flush enough. Have a little think about the generalist comments you all make before posting them because as I have said before, we are now in an age where money is being thrown into clubs by rich owners that it isn't just Manchester United that get glory supporters tagging on any more. Stop bringing it up and stop insulting those who actually care - its boring and pathetic. How about we start questioning all your loyalties hey?
  3. I may just join you on that one - got to be a good laugh and a fitness boost as well. I will speak to you on Tuesday about the Dulwich Hamlet FC thing, I go to Hamlets gym and often find myself distracted watching the matches from the gym window!
  4. You've lost me...I'm not blonde - I am a definite brunette but perhaps I am being blonde! lol. Who is this blonde, eye-lined, university player? I am intrigued! :)
  5. Well not quite old enough to have knowingly seen him in action but old enough to appreciate his talent! I bumped into his son Callum the other week actually at Paddington, never thought he was my type before but definitely better in the flesh!

Effortless ability! :)
  7. Hey! If it is Jenayr you are talking about then I have just been chatting with her. She said you were away this weekend so I think it is just me and her on Saturday. Definitely up for the Schalke game on Tuesday though if you are back in time? Look forward to it! :)-D
  8. Good to hear! Do any of you meet up for a bit of a kick-a-bout, especially now the weather is nice? I try to play but I am shocking at tackling and generally end up kicking someone (accidently of course!). My fianc? however is pretty good and I'm hoping that when he finally finds a job and moves down here, he can join in on some games locally if that happens at all.
  9. So this is where all the footy banter takes place then - thanks for the invite Jah Lush and Sandperson. Is there many other girls on the thread?
  10. I know, I know. Get it aaaallllll the time so quite used to it - especially being a girl and all. I will mosey on over to the Football Focus thread and have a gander :)
  11. A little stereotypical I feel. My entire family on my Dad's side are Mancunians supporting United and have done for I can't even tell you how long. I know it was my Grandfather that got me into the sport when I was only young and I have followed it ever since. My loyalties lie with United because of my heritage and because of my love and understanding of the game. Your comment would prove otherwise and although I am well aware there are many 'glory' supporters out there - have we not come far enough in recent years to realise that there are glory supporters with many other clubs these days - Chelsea since they won the prem and even City since they came into the money. I think the badge that us United supporters get is a bit old hat nowadays and people need to just realise that perhaps we just love football????
  12. Hey folks Since moving to the area I have a definite lack of people to go watch the footie with. I have ESPN so will catch those games at my place but don't have Sky Sports. It would be nice to meet some like-minded United fans that enjoy meeting up to watch the game. Is there any other girls/guys around that catch up each match? Thanks! Charlotte :)
  13. Hey guys I am new to the forum and relatively new to ED (Since December). Is this a closed group or can anyone join in? Seems like a great excuse for a curry and a bit of banter! Charlotte
