    James, I live opposite Heber School. They have fairly recently installed some extremely bright lights overlooking their playground which shine right into or house at night. Very intrusive, light polluting and not environmentally friendly. They are on all day and all night as well. If there are security lights (I believe they are) they should be motion sensitive to avert this impact. How can this be dealt with? Many thanks.

    Agree - good work. Am consistently amazed by the fact we guide the future of this country on a 'lowest common denoninator' level. By putting the country in recession how on earth are we going to help regions outside London who are much more vulnerable with a higher number of public sector staff funded off tax receipts. get real ...............

    I dont know THAT much about finance but this is a spurious headline. The FTSE is made up of Int'l companies not UK so has little bearing on UK economy. What you need to track is inward investment. This week according to the FT more than ?650 m commercial property deals have fallen through. Lower interst rates is not a good thing! Besides, wait until we really pull the trigger on article 50 ...
