  1. So, festive curry lovers, when and where? How about Monday 20/12? Venue? Could be Tandoori Nights as a special festive treat to ourselves, but I am not fussed.
  2. Yay!!!! Barry is back everybody!!!!! :))
  3. HPY BDY Georgia!! X
  4. Well done to the Dozen stout and hardy types that cheered the Surma manager up no end with our ?300 bill. A good evening with fine company.
  5. A huge no-no is puff pastry hats on a beef stew, laughably advertised as a "pie" in many pubs. NO - its not a pie. A pie has short crust pastry top and bottom. Puff pastry is an abomination at any time OTHER than when wrapped around a sausage.
  6. OK - swift half at 7.15 in the EDT then straight to Surma for 8pm. Howzat?
  7. Hindsight is a magnificent mountain from which to throw stones. I seem to remember our own old Labour Iron Chancellor declaring the end to the boom and bust in the UK. So much for that.
  8. Silly Chili Mockney ..
  9. No. Ardennes not that popular.
  10. Yes but Euclid's was a paean to a spanakopita. A fine Greek pie I will give you, but not the sort of thing to get you through a chilly London November evening. He was a distant cousin, on my mother's side.
  11. Doubt it. Charles' job now is to provide a buffer for his son, during which time the Prince can have a life and career before becoming King. The Queen is of the old school and will stay on the pot until she falls off it (which could be another 10 to 20 years), Charles will have say 10 to 20 years, so William has 20 to 30 years before he ascends.
  12. Well. What about the impact on ED house prices? AND will this increase the chances of an M&S Food/Waitrose coming into the area? Hmmm?
  13. Only parties in Peckham. BUT wait! Perhaps PGC has the inside track! The wedding reception of the decade is to be held at The Victoria Inn with catering by the Meatwagon (I lied about the Mirash).
  14. I am stunned that you are not in the Jungle Dulwichmum. You are a far bigger celebrity than any of those non-entities. Roughing it yes, but that much closer to the monkey glands.
  15. Stepping up to the plate. Nice one Weegee.
  16. Down with that sort of thing
  17. ..... in China making tacky souvenirs.
  18. I have to admit to a certain excitement..... :))
  19. Anybody got a birthday candle to stick in the nan bread?
  20. Oh 'eck! Its a diplomatic incident.
  21. She got his Mother's big sparkler. Girl done well.
  22. This will be the Royal Engagment Celebratory Curry Club meeting. Please wear crowns and tiaras. I believe that The Mirash are doing the wedding breakfast.
