I absolutely agree with Rosie, apart from the arse related stuffing bit. I enjoy watching rugby in a pub but not football because I dont like football; to be specific I cant stand the hyperbole and load of football related old wank that is spouted by otherwise wise and sensible folk. Much of modern sport (especially football) is nothing more than popular entertainment. Overpaid, morally corrupt and stupid participants, their grasping managers, owners who are interested in money and not in the content and fans who should know better. Therefore showing X-Factor or Celebrity Come Dancing in a pub as showing a Premiership football game. At least the fans of such shows enjoy the entertainment with a tongue firmly in their cheeks and get the joke. Sadly footie fans are incapable of seeing the absurdity of the beautiful game.
