I did a gap year of sorts. As part of my third and some of my fourh year I spent them in Spain and Portugal teaching English. Undoubtedly the best times of my life.....

Do we have any proactive neighbourhood watch schemes in place at present. If so, can someone tell me what their remit is etc. I am sure there must be countless threads on this over the years but I am well up for volunteering my time to joining some scheme in the hope that a regular presence will have some impact on the ever-rising incidence of crime in ED. I don't see many coppers on foot in my area these days and I do wonder how much that contributes to the easy- pickings of the scumbag opportunists in our midst. Grrrrr.
