Alan Medic, I totally agree with you on this one.... I fear that retribution from that minority of exrremists will use this as a springboard for more atrocities.... Bin Laden is/ was merely the figurehead for extremism and unfortunately his legacy will catapult him to martyrdom with many otgers looking to follow in his footsteps..... I do wonder when will this ever end...

I use the 521 from Lon Bridge when not cycling. The journey time of 20 mins is accurate, traffic pending. Have you considered cycling? I started last year and haven't looked back. My journey time from Therapia Road to St Pauls is roughly 30 mins. Beat that On any tfl route.... Work out, avoid the crush and save money at the same time....

So what is the solution? Defining the issue isn't really solving it. Mr Quinn, can you re-paste your famous aged thread in order that we may examine in depth..

I am generally rubbish at growing my own, other than tomatoes which I haven't even started yet. I would happily buy some of whatever is growing and ready.. Please keep us posted...

Dog owners of South East London: most of you are vigilant and responsible when it comes to cleaning up dog poo in the streets however there is a small minority of selfish owners/ walkers who seem to think it is ok to leave mess on the pavement for someone else to stand on. As a dog owner with a dog who likes to poo in random street places, I would not dream of leaving MY mess for someone else to deal with. Is it too much to ask peoPle to ALWAYS carry poop bags with them and to clean up after their furry friends? It is true that we could do with more binz but sadly, not even that would encourage the lazy/ selfiah minority to act properly. Does anyone else out there agree with me?

I have seen James Nesbitt several times, he lives or livedoff East Dulwich Road. I have seen naughty Tracey from Corrie loads of times in North Cross Rd pushing a pram. The story goes that she spent years in prison however, she was infact on Witness Protection working in Foxton's all the while....

Fishneed, just read your thread from 13th AprIl. We need more people like you out there! I was looking to sell my property last year (1m+) and with Foxtons they refused to negotiate on the 2.5%.... So by calculation, their fee would have been in excess of 25k and that is before VAT. I think not! Can you post details of what you do on here, if allowed, as I would be very interested in knowing more..

Ganapati is rubbish. I had an awful meal in there. Bland food, weird student-like ambience.... Certainly would never go back and not sure why people rave about it. Omrith at the top of Forest Hill Road should be checked out. The service can be random but the food is generally excellent, different to your usual but worth it.

Poor Rubyshoes, don't pay too much attention to some of the negative attention your honest post has provoked... There is nothing wrong with wanting to protect your surroundings. There is a place for everyone and that isn't always outside your front door..

I went two weekends ago, was disappointed they didn't do a brunch menu at 12. The food was ok, the service was fine. Would I go back? Yes but not rushing. Try Locale, they seem to have sorted out their menu even though the service is slow... I guess you can't have everything... Or can you?

I lost my Siamese cat on Christmas Eve last year, he was only 9. He hald his vaccinations as a kitten but nothing after then and died of multiple cancers. If I could go back I would have yearly jabs as you never know.... I still miss him. Better to be safe than sorry....

I don't trust them at all. Their 2.5% inflexible rate will be their downfall. They claim that they can get you more for your property but that is nonsense and nothing more than woolly marketing. Your property is only worth as much as someone will pay for it, irrespective of the agent.... They lost out ontwo sales in Marmora Road last year, I know both vendors who pulled the business as they were very displeased at the service, or lack of...
