  1. Liking your style Molly however I am sure if they were to stay open during summer months then someone like me would be pushing for them to be open all year round.. I still walk my dog in the winter, albeit rather briskly.
  2. Really? It would probably explain the inconsistencies.. I am going to start a separate thread on quality takeaways as I have had some crap ones recently..
  3. Lol... But I love to have a moan, don't deny me that too..
  4. Totally agree Medley... Omrith when it opened was consistently fantastic in every sense for the first year or so, and then it went through a bumpy patch and managed to rebound. We ate there recently and it was very good. The makeover it had last year did it the world of good. I do have to say that the takeaway I had from there a while back was nothing like the in-dining version... Is it just me or have other people experienced that?
  5. Crikey does everything really need to involve politics? Perhaps I am being unrealistic in not accepting that in order to enjoy the delights of walking my dog in the park rather than round the perimeter which is effectively what 80% of that experience would consist of. Call me a sinner... If they can have one gate open super early what is wrong with having two at opposite ends of the park.... Surely that isn't enough to bring on a double dip recession in itself? How indulgent of me to ask for such a thing in such times of austerity. :)-D
  6. Thank you Taper, wise words, exactly what I was after rather than a telling off from Aunty DJ... Please do excuse my ignorance but not sure what the whiff of the troll reference means.. Kindly elaborate whikst I endeavour to get my head around this staffing costs logic.
  7. Djkillaqueen, you are very harsh... I don't really know what budget cuts have to do with a simple request to have park gates open earlier.... If one gate is open at one side, not sure why they can't do one at the other..
  8. Mau I add, I live at the top end of East Dulwich ans so to trek akl the way round to the common will add time to my early morning walk. If they would open the Colyton Rd entrance early then that would be great...
  9. Should the BNP win majority vote in anything I will be emigrating permanently...
  10. Dorothy, I posted a response but Adminmeister removed it and I don't know why as it was not offensive in any way. Basically, it is my opinion that if we find this dull and boring then let's be pro-active and liven it up a bit with interesting, thought-provoking pieces....
  11. Thanks for the advice - where is that exactly? Is it at the car park end near the cafe?
  12. Minkey, are you offering to pick up some wine for me?
  13. Mrs Y, could I borrow aforementioned Percy pig to front a campaign to bring M&S to ED? I trust she hasn't been spit-roasted since the big day..
  14. Pls pls pls as my early morning doggy walk choices are very limited at 0645hrs.
  15. Sorry Al, I am still very new to all this EDF thingy and still learning the jargon. Is 'post' more appropriate than thread when one did not create..?
  16. Maxxi, loving your thread.... Glad to see that not everyone takes life so seriously..
  17. Sue, it was that bad I can't remember. I just hated it from start to end and my lasting impression of the place was that it was poorly set up: over-crowded and rather drab...
  18. I am not feeling the love for M&S in ED. Shame...
  19. Waitrose... Yes please...
  20. -- moved topic --
  21. Gosh, tgat is controversial indeed... I am not a fan of processed food and don't tend to buy their ready-mademeals unless they look particularly fresh and rustic. However it's akl the little bits I need... And their wines are very good and competitively priced...
  22. Guys, I thunk it is high time we had an M&S in our midst. I am sick of having to travel by non- eco-friendly car every time I want some decent food products. Has anyone heard if there are any plans afoot? help...
  23. I wanna join. It's not too late is it? I have organised something similar with a bunch of city work colleagues, tge first of which kicks off in two weekends and already excited about that... Bring it on....!
