I've used Aria several times over the years. Most recently I had a problem with water hammer. I feared the job might require taking up floorboards, but Aria came round very quickly (no call-out charge) and immediately diagnosed a worn out kitchen and bathrooms taps. Once ordered these were fitted quickly and efficiently. He also has a number of other skilled workers on tap to deal with other issues, so I had a shower screen adjusted and the sealant round the bath re-done. They all just piled in and got the job done for a very reasonable price. I've always found him to be honest, reliable and full of energy with a bright and positive outlook. In fact, he's a joy to have around. One in a million.

Hi sinalto, Aria's number is 07739734895. I've used him twice, first for some pretty substantial work in the bathroom and just recently for replacing a kitchen tap. He's professional, quick, polite and friendly. He cares about the job and will check with you afterwards to ensure that all is well. He's also fair: the tap job turned out to be more complex than expected but he didn't ask for more money.

I can't recommend highly enough Jim Grint (07904 841155 [email protected]). He's just finished 4 days installing a ceiling fan, bathroom fan and generally sorting out some horrors left over from when house was re-wired 20 years ago. He is highly skilled, intelligent and considerate. He takes enormous pride in a job well done, he's is plainly honest and his prices are very fair. He quoted a daily rate and worked late to complete the job, despite a number of hidden problems cropping up along the way and always made sure the house was left clean and tidy. Moreover, he's a thoroughly nice, decent bloke.

Russell has just done another job for me: putting coping stones along the top of the front elevation of my house, and yet again he's done an excellent job. I can't recommend him highly enough. His quotes are very fair and I trust him implicitly. He quite clearly excellent at what he does and takes considerable pride in doing a job not only very well but also very quickly and efficiently. He's also bright, creative and a genuinely nice guy.

We followed the many previous recommendations for Ray Murray (07927239023), and he did indeed turn out to be an excellent painter & decorator. - His work is top notch with evident attention to detail; - He cleans up well and is very considerate; - He's completely trustworthy (no hesitation in giving him a key); - He prices a job reasonably, and room-by-room; - He's a genuinely nice guy; great with kids and loves cats (even taking it on himself to put their food and drink at a safe distance so my shy cats wouldn't go without while he was working nearby); - And above all, he takes great pride in doing an excellent job. You can't go wrong with SARP: 26 Grove Vale (the newsagent/phone shop on the corner of Melbourne Grove, recommended by Toldyouso). He's done a couple of jobs for me. My iPhone 5 had died, just out of warranty, with a non-functioning top switch and failed battery connection. Apple and O2 kindly offered to replace the phone with a reconditioned one for ?200. Pras at SARP (see what he did there?) fixed it for ?45! Now it's good as new. He's also replaced an iPhone battery for...?20!
