  1. Not quite in ED but very close, Peckham Rye. A pop up Greek cafe, "MessyMary", (situated inside "Feeling Food") oh my god the Souvlaki is out of this world! I was also lucky enough to get their orange cake, I think its called Portokalopita (I may have spelt that wrong). The queue was out of the door on Monday. I believe its closed for a holiday break for a few weeks (which should give me time to rid a few pounds) before they get back. If you are a fan of Greek food, this is defo one to try!
  2. I am looking for recommendations for a carpenter who can supply and fit a wooden street door. I think the frame also needs replacing. I do not UPVC or any glass in the door, the letter box will also need replacing. If you can help please comment below.
  3. saffron - thank you! I have lived in rented with a pet since i was 21 and have nothing but excellent references from my previous landlords. I always get any carpets professionally cleaned after the rental period and during as i myself dont live in mess like many comments above would suggest i do simply because i choose to have a pet! I will definately add a private message on here and try roy brooks as well, i note the link to pet friendly rentals as well! Great! Thank you all for the positive comments! Negative ones i would prefer you keep to yourself!

Thanks for your personal assumption that my house and my dog smell bob! Highly appreciated!!
  5. Moan - Why oh why is it so hard to find a landlord that will rent to people with a dog!! We dont all let ours dogs wreck other peoples homes, in face quite the opposite in my case! If anyone knows of a private landlord or estate agent that are doggy friendly please inbox me!
  6. This was my familys local growing up! I was often given 50p and a bottle of coke to go and play while dad had his pint! Always handy that i went to the primary school next door so dad never wasted beer time! Kill 2 birds with 1 stone! Pick me up and have a pint! Haha! The good old days!!!
  7. I had Richard & Paul round for a heavily gloss painted cast iron fireplace which i wanted restoring. When they came back a week later to reinstall i couldnt believe the difference! They had stripped all the gloss paint off and polished it. I can now see detail i didnt even know was in it! It has transformed the whole room! Im so pleased with it and the service i was provided that im having the guys back to do the other one. I can highly recommend RPS Fireplaces!!! They was both polite, professional and the cost was considerably cheaper than other shops i tried!
  8. Paul @ Handyglazing - 07980 540 287 - lots of positive reviews on here
  9. As a staffie owner yet again it frustrates me that people who have never owned one can give such negative press about them!! Own one, train it, learn about the breed then comment!!! Staffies have such a negative press nowadays as they have become "weapons" in the young gang culture. Beforehand staffies were known as one of the better breeds to have around chilrden, if you have a staffie from young and install time and effort into your dog then there is no reason that it should act in a aggressive manner towards dogs or children. Rescue dogs are a different matter especially if they have been abused and rehomed on more than one occasion. It is also very hard to undo anything they have learnt up to the age of about 4. I wish people would take some time to learn about this breed before they make such negative comments!! Lets not sterotype all owners of staffies as ex-cons with tattoos and skin heads!!!

OH MY GOD!!!! You small minded little man!!! As for the cost of tattoos as you previously mentioned, tattoos are now seen as art work and their price is reflected in the time, detail and expertise of each individual tattoo artist. Im sure that if the tattoos are of high quality then this will in face put more than just bread on the table!!! Just out of interest how long have you lived in Dulwich??????
  11. [www.thefamilybusinesstattoo.com] Please please do not make your decor like the above! Its scary look and dark! Lets not forget this should be a sterile environment! Clean cut lines, lots of white, still can be trendy without the heavy feeling to it. Lets not forget many people can be intimidated by these kind of dark shops, i would much prefer for tat number 6 to go somewhere clean, bright and airy!
  12. I think this would be a very cool idea, the nearest in the area is in Nunhead, i know a lot of people that go to him, i had my first tat done there and lets just say i havent been back! Overpriced and not very friendly! I then went to Sydenham, found a fantastic guy who then moved to the seaside! Argh!!!!! So for me i would be your 1st customer, esp if you do freehand! What bit of Dulwich was you looking at??? The old chip shop near the police station has been empty for years!!! Good Luck and keep us all updated on your new adventure!

  14. Autocar Repairs in Rosendale Road, Jason is excellent!
  15. Another one is The Heber Arms! Many many years spent in there with my dad being fed crisps and coke and told not to tell mummy!! Haha
  16. Haha, i dont remember that guy but i do remember foster! didnt he get busted for drugs????
  17. I was sitting in ED eating the other night telling my BF about the area and what it was like as a kiddy and suddenly all these shops came back into my head!! Who remembers "Fosters" the jeans shop on the corner of Cyrena Road? Dedes in Underhill Road? Sun Video?? Wow! So many memories!!! Anyone remember more from the 80's?
  18. Defo agree with susierose, i bet they were bull terrier breeds of which i have one and mine is so stupidly soft! It really is how the owners raise them as mine was re-homed from a rescue to centre to me and i totally changed his behaviour around! Lets hope this doesnt give these breed's yet another bad name. Poor little cat
  19. Dirty scum bag!!! I bet he didnt even attempt to get the dogs off the cat, im personally not a cat fan but this is an absolute disgrace!!!! Good for you for taking the cat and not just leaving it!
  20. Quote: @straferjack just passed one of these guys hidden in a bush by Peckham rye. No traffic at all. Kinda blows your theory apart. Idiot I do love it when people say how they feel!!! Cracks me up!!! Whilst i agree traffic wardens have a tough job i think that anyone dealing with members of the public in a frontline position has just about the same abuse if not more than these guys! If they cant be polite when asked what they are doing then maybe they shouldnt be in a job where they have to deal with members of the public on a daily basis! They must have read the job description before they applied!!!
  21. There is actually a designated parking spot (just inside the park on the left hand side) for this said car on the peckham rye/east dulwich road traffic light junction. There are there everyday on my drive home from work! Not suprised you got that responce, most traffic wardens are rude!!
