  1. Here you go Jeremy, not for the faint hearted...
  2. Careful Lou, Guinness puts hairs on your chest...

Under 18's definitely fall into the latter, and to a lesser extent the over 60's. > Hoping for a discussion rather than a load of the > usual. Good luck! :)
  5. Yep, it takes time, the redeveloped playground is mobbed post-school which is probably why the ice cream shop has opened there. The busy road is a downside, but the paved area looks wide enough for a landscaped buffer zone to soften the noise...
  6. Balfe's Bikes do to with their Velo pump...well it's a start
  7. Torres at ?50m has to be close to being the biggest flop of all time...
  8. Sue Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I love this shop too and I must make the effort to > get down there more often - sorry HPB :( The Goose Green parade suffers a bit because it's off the main Lordship Lane drag, but it has huge potential with the large paved area, which some of the shops, HPB included, have started to inhabit. I can just see it now, another bistro or two, a few Olive trees here and there, voila!...Square Louisa
  9. I see Lou is sorting out the Calais asylum problem, so while she's not looking... *Moons at Quids...*
  10. They share the same agent, Jorges Mendes, I think they are best buddies too. Maybe he thinks the Chelsea system will get more out of Falcao. The football fan in me wants to see him get back to the exciting striker he was before he got injured, prefer it not to be at Chelsea though...

Looks like the transfer fee benchmark has been raised considerably, what with talk of Kane for ?40m and Sterling ?50m...
  12. That's a lorra, lorra money for someone no one really knows much about. There was some paper talk a couple of weeks ago about him signing for Utd for ?13.1m. Quite a jump up to ?29m, that's only ?3m shy of what Chelsea paid for Costa...
  13. *Bob*'s Profanisaurus, a nice stocking filler...
  14. That sums up modern politics Ots, and why it puts a lot of people off, it's now all about negative campaigning...
  15. *Bob* Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > View only RD.. imagine the pain this brings I know, which kinda makes a mockery of the whole ''what did I do?!'' schtick*... *This weeks new word. Next week - pontification...slight pause after pon for added effect

How do you know this, you're banned, you can't view the main section...or can you?

When Louisa was banned a fair few number of posters said they were pleased she had been banned. A smaller number stuck up for her. At the time Louisa was frequently using 'blow-in' as an insult. I think Admin was concerned this was giving newbies and those less thick-skinned, a very negative impression of the forum and the area as a whole... ETA: Admin has blocked blow.in :)
  18. Louisa Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > What did I actually do to deserve a ban from that > one post though rd? > > Louisa. It wasn't just about one post, it was a tipping point...you've got 8 years of previous remember. No point in pasting a link to the thread as you're still banned from the section, so here's what Admin wrote... I've had enough of Louisa's unfriendly comments, it's not what the forum's about, it should be a friendly place and her comments are sniping remarks which are unwanted. I've constrained her to the Lounge so other users in the other sections are free to talk without the constant @#$%&/class comments.
  19. No 'inside' info Lou, I just happened to read the thread that you posted on, that subsequently got you banned...
  20. AqM, do you know why Louisa was banned?...
  21. *Bob* isn't a character, he ridicules the ridiculous with his put-downs, you can't magic that up in a character, you've either got it or you haven't... *Bob* = Dave Allen Lou & Foxy = The Krankies
  22. *Bob* Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The interesting thing (to me, anyway) is that > Lou's restriction to the lounge has really exposed > the one-dimensionality of the contributions... 1-D is key when setting-up a character, the less you have to remember, the less likely you are to forget what that character would say/has said. Lousia, how old is your character supposed to be?...
  23. I thought it was blindingly obvious that Louisa was a...let's be kind...exagerrated character. Fairly harmless, 'she's' not racist, homophobic, threatening etc. The forum does a pretty good job of self-policing itself, and anyone posting along those lines soon gets short shrift. I always saw her character as either a deliberate alter ego set-up by whoever created Dulwich Mum, or someone trying to muscle in on DM's popularity. DM was funny, but as Ots implies, over time it eventually becomes hackneyed. AqM, do you know why Louisa was banned?...
  24. Dulwich Basil Brush and Looby Lou's Modus Operandi - Let's be a complete pain in the arse - goes too far... Oooh Basil, when I said I'll give you a ring tonight, I didn't mean this...
  25. I always think *Bob* missed a trick by not calling himself *Roger*...
