Had it been an away win I wouldn't have given him 1pt for predicting an away win, because to me it was obvious he was predicting a home win. Had I seen the typo beforehand, I would've asked for clarfication, like I did with Otta recently...

Definitely a potential problem and a good suggestion Meds. As I'm not involved, an even securer method would be for everyone to PM me their predictions, that way we can be sure no one is influenced by other predictions. I had this in mind for the League towards the end of the season if it was a close race, but wasn't sure who would receive the PMs...someone near the bottom who couldn't win, or someone on the thread who doesn't play e.g. PGC, SJ etc. It might even be worth doing it for the FA Cup as well, since there are so few games to predict...
