Jeremy wrote:- Maximum wage? Haha, yes that would do wonders for the old entrepreneurial spirit! Entrepreneurs do not get a wage they get the profit from their company, which they are fully entitled to as they have earned it by using their wits. Bankers who get 63 million have not earned that as a wage or anything like it, it is asset stripping in my book.

feminist orthodoxy in the government

4. Do you think men and women are suited to doing the same types of jobs? Men aren't much good carrying for the full 9 month term, and women aren't very good at being sperm donors. So I believe, but I could be mistaken. -
Who owns....(The old wood yard on Barry Road)?

Some gnome in Southwark council who wished to remain anonymous declared that it had 'got the nod' to build a half way house for political asylam seekers. The official paper work is for the development of six houses. -

There may well be other incidents which this arrogant toad has been involved in, and every description or report takes the police nearer to getting him. Going to gaol for sex crimes is the most dangerous sort of time for a criminal, as the other convicts loathe them and given the slightest opportunity will give them a good hiding. We can only hope this happens to him very soon.

I guess it boils down to whether you could cope with watching your last remaining parent become a down and out, and maybe sleeping rough, having been evicted through debt and now begging for living.

Mockney piers wrote:- Again, either make rules enforceable and preferably in law (god knows nu-labour have thrown legislation in a heavy-handed manner at every other issue they've dealt with) or just accept that people are a bit corrupt and driven by self interest and move on. As they are the law makers do you not think that they have had every opportunity to make it a 'bat straight' busuiness. They have made up their own rules and are unable or unwilling to work within their own guidelines, if all reading this did the same we would be charged with corruption, fraud, bringing their office into disrepute etc. Very soon now we are going to the polls, who do you vote for? I would vote for Dennis Skinner if I could but who else is really an 'honourable man' or woman?

Blow it up is what I say wrote ???? I say keep it as a tourist attraction and museum of how politics used to be, eventually it will all be decided on networks such as this, is my prediction for the future. PGC wrote:- I'd vote for M.Man - how could you not vote for one of the few who understands Duckworth Lewis? Already the cricket lobby has burst into life, yes the new techno government is on it's way.

When you read about what goes on in the House of Politics it makes you wonder what and whom they are fighting for? Having just watched Dispatches and all the shenanigans of the lobbying especially for procurement, with flights out to the US as they are pushing their weapons, it would make me wonder if I were in khaki, has the best been bought to protect me or has the wrong lobbyist got there and are now saddled with the least appropriate ordinance?

Sounds like you have all the main ingredients for success then David as you've lost the stumbling block already. They would still be cleaner than almost anyone elses in that house of inequity.

The co-op divi Irish jokes and all that went out with the commedians, it's all observational humour like Billy Connolly and Eddy Izzard's been doing for eons.

Most think I'm cheesy enough.

Anyone watch the Dispatches programme on channel four, offering themselves out to any company that wants to get into the procurement market. The politicians are not supposed to get involved in this before they've had two years away from their MP roles. They make up their own rules and then break them when ever it suits them. They also get a fat sum to go with 40-60k and their mp's pension of course. If ever there needs to be a complete shakedown in that hotbed of corruption, it would be better sooner than later. Come along David_Carnell the major parties are finished in most peoples eyes, so start your own party you would have the cleanest hands of any of them to get elected with. That of course may be a stumbling block. We are so used to sleaze and dirty dealing, lies, fraud, we are probably anaesthetised to truth, and honesty, when it comes to dealing with the right honourables. If this Forum could vote in our own man it would be a landmark in political administration. What do you think?

He's a @#$%& in a word and a knowitall @#$%& at that. I hope we have more agreeable interactions in the future fido. Ps did you know the dog whisperer is in sheffield doing his thing, trying to bully your ancestors into submission and silence, he sounds more reactionary than admin woof.

I considered giving up my car in favour of this scheme but I thought that when you most need them, at high days and holidays, they would all be taken.

They had an open day one Saturday, to allow anyone who wanted anything to help themselves, so I dont think it would be a hanging offence in fact I'm sure they would be grateful if it was cleared. -
Whilst it remains in a state of loss it may remind you not to be so lavish with your hard earned. Although as it is in stirling which is little better than the investment you made in shares, cos the inflation rate is bordering on a runaway train.

According to my youngest you are allowed 30,000 miles for two grand, on top of that is living costs of around 1000 per month if you include a visit to Oz. Her four and a half month trip was ?6,500 including insurance.

63 million for Bob Diamond at Barclays, whilst they borrow money at 15% from the gulf, who is minding the store....oooh yes, it's diamond Bob.

Dropped in to Franklins which was packed and with very little room between tables it felt too cramped, moved on and went in to eat at gourmet burgers which was very quick, good value, and the bacon and avocardo burger was so large as to need two hands to subdue it. Twenty five quid for two including tip a portion of chips and drinks made it feel like a bargain. Last week we went to eat at the Palmerston, first time for me although my daughter had been in before. I had Lamb which was succulent melt in the mouth stuff and followed by their apple pie, this was the best I've had as it appeared to be like a thin crispy pancake with delicious apple slices over the top, it took near two hours from start to finish including both courses and drinks but it is not the kind of food you want to hurry and not the ideal place for young children to sit still for so long either. The back room is the place to be as it is quieter than the family driven front, overall if you are a gourmet then it's the place to go and indulge yourself once in a while, for an occasion as it worked out a little over thirty quid per head which in these days of 'crappy pound syndrome' was well worth it.
