  3. yet how often do you see Sugar Daddies arrested for supplying a penthouse flat in exchange for sex ? First catch your hare. Unless she is extremely fortunate she hasn't a cats chance in hell. Availability of the female kind is not that difficult to obtain unless you are living in a talibanesque area of east dulwich. Men I have known in that bracket have plenty of opportunity and history of such dalliances and they would be changing their female partners rather more frequently than every five years. Those guys are extremely difficult to find and you usually cross their paths when doing business deals, and of course when the dealing is done they are often flying off to their next port of call. So a woman in one penthouse flat in a town which he may or may not visit for 6 or 8 months is not a proposition, when you can ring your exclusive west end escourt agency and procure a civilized, educated, middle class lady who knows how to squash her own personality and not be a burden, who knows how to keep silent and self amused for several hours whilst the all important business is taking place. I wish her well in her fantasy. Artful.
  4. I remember talking to a vicar of 87 and he found the older he got the less life made sense to him. All of his family had died as had his close friends, and the town where he had lived most of his life had now changed beyond recognition. He couldn't even find his way around anymore so felt increasingly isolated and he described it as something like a living death. He was treading water waiting for his release which was all rather pitiful, he could not consider a trip to Switzerland as he felt it an irreligious act. She is a courageous woman your Serbian ladyM and so are you.
  5. Vinceayres wrote:- On a purely selfish note I hope they do go bust as it would open up a lot of slots that they block other customer focused airlines from getting. I haven't flown BA for years as they are overpriced cr*p I positively avoid using them too, and go to great lengths to find better, which is not too difficult unless you are travelling on all those routes they monopolise. Losing some of them has changed their fortune but not before time. If they cannot find a way to compete on a day to day basis then they should be allowed to fail, I'm convinced it will be an improvement for the travelling public. When they had the last strike I noticed that east dulwich became a quiet village with out all the plane noise. It seemed that predominantly BA were the ones who flew across London, and the sooner that stops the better off ED will be.
  6. They are good at pinching commuters and motorists, but not muggers thieves and burglars which we would like them to catch.
  7. There is an apiarist in Ondine rd I tasted some of his produce and it is basically lime honey as you might expect, as most of the trees are limes. I knew a guy in west London who kept a hive in his 10 foot by 20 foot garden and his neighbours all loathed him and what they felt was his selfish behaviour. They believed he was inflicting something potentially more dangerous than a pitbull on them as they could not just lie in the sun in their own gardens.

One of my favourite films "The tree of wooden clogs" it's Italian with subtitles. Based on the lives of 4 peasant families at the turn of the 19th century. 1978.
  9. I cannot bring myself to vote for Lord Snooty as P.Eye tag Cameron, he does appear lightweight, shallow, and far too fresh faced to cope with deep meaningful problems. Brown is going to the elections for the first time in his life, though several years over due, to be told where to go by the electorate. Which all leaves the Libdems in an apparently strong position, although the electorate have always gone for the big two parties for the general election. It seems most thinking people are in a quandary who to vote for, perhaps the raving loonie party are still at it.
  10. Dory Previn wrote of Mia Farrow 'beware of young girls with delicate hands' as she (Farrow)walked off with Andre Previn. Dylan wrote "His clothes are dirty but his hands are clean" in Lay lady lay. I always thought it a poignant line.

  12. Most of the bosses I have worked for I was cleverer, quicker, and more astute than, eventually I realized I was insufferable as an employee, so I became a boss and have run businesses for 40 years. I am now an insufferable boss about to retire, and I no longer have to put up with uppity employees who think they know the job better than I, but are too gutless to start their own thing. Katie I sympathise with your predicament and understand how demeaning it is to be subserviant to a boss who appears an oafish buffoon but if you are soooo clever, do your own thing and start your own business. Swallowing the company line always stuck in my throat, and I was forever baulking at the narrow perameters a job held, I found it was just too stifling for my overbearing, obnoxious know-it-all personality. Best of luck in what ever venture you choose for the future.
  13. You might help her pack to make sure she has all she needs and then send her off as if she is emigrating. Full marks for your help and support for this feisty old lady. She has had a long and varied life during her stay and now wants to go, so why not? My own line is drawn to top myself when I have bouts of frequent or constant pain, and can no longer (do it) have sex:'(
  14. Moes. That's what this pretentious area needs, a swill hole where you can fall asleep on the upholstered pew and no one moves you on. Squares of newspaper hanging on a loop of hairy string in the loo....er apologies, bog. A big smelly old dog curled up dozing under the seat. A hooped barrell with a wooden tap, perched behind the bar full of Marstons pedigree, and when it's poured into the pint glass resembling the colour of healthy looking urine. They don't make 'em like that anymore, the pub culture is a receding industry, yet it is what many euro-visitors dropped in for as they have nothing like it and sooner or later nor will we.

  17. Jeremy wrote:- You can't just take it out of the company coffers. When running a company where else would the money come from but it's coffers Jeremy? Any money earned by that company can be removed in full or in part by the owner of that company, as far as I'm aware.
  18. mlteenie is still the favourite mobile bike repairer on this forum, cheap as chips and quick too.

  21. Get a full sheet of hardboard and hold it at the height it will finish at, this will give you a much better idea of the look which you will have to live up with.
  22. 1 Seeing both of my daughters at the same time and they did not become competitive and squabbly in my company. 2 the hardest thing is that you have changed your life permanently and you did not realise it at the time you did the deed. I would not turn the clock back as I think life with children is healthier for adults, as they knock off some of the sharp corners of one's personality, and they teach you probably more than you teach them. 3 they think I'm a strict dad and their friends dad's are softer, gentler, nicer, easier going, and more refined. Both tend to talk their problems through with me, and I feel honoured and gratified that my opinion is sought.
  23. Newcomer wrote:- your post did (probably unintentionally) sound a bit flippant/mercenary when you talked about 'Bye bye inheritence' and Indignitas. I have known a number of people waiting for granny to die to get their hands on the family fortune and in so doing, ignore the fact of developing their own lives and making their own money and success of life. In my opinion the only money to have is your own hard earned, it gives you confidence in the obtaining and character building when dealing with the proceeds, and you know where you are with your expenditure through life.
