  2. Hi guys, Me and my fella are due to have a baby towards the end of December. We are really very keen to do a hypnobirthing course or attend some birth hypnosis or visualisation classes. However, I've investigated and all of the courses I've found are super expensive. I wondered if any other Mums and Dads out there could recommend any more affordable options that there might be. Best wishes, J

  7. I'm looking for a labourer to help to prepare the room for the plasterers. 1. One sofa will need to be removed from the room and put in the front garden. I have another guy here who can help with lifting. It's on the ground floor, so no stairs. 2. One small plaster board half wall needs to be removed. This is a very small job, and I might even do it myself this eve. 3. A plaster board floating ceiling to be taken down. All plasterboard to be bagged up in rubble bags. 4. Ceiling wallpaper to be removed. I have hired in a professional wallpaper stripper from HSS, so this should make the job quicker. This is one days work max. I will pay ?15 per hour based on an 8 hr day. Please direct message me if this is something you are able to do tomorrow.
  8. HI there, I have had tenants in a property that and the garden is quite over grown. My boyfriend and I have just moved back into the property and so wanting to get it spruced up. It's not a huge garden and there are some nice boards beneath the grass. I had another gardener look at it and he said it would be 5hrs work. Can I ask you what your going rate is? Best wishes, Julia
  9. Hi there, I wondered if anyone might be able to help with some advice on structural engineer. We are hoping to get the wall out between our lounge and hallway in Adys Road. It's a structural wall. I wondered if anyone could advise on the cost to get a structural engineer in to work out the size steel we would need, and also the time it might take to get the report back? We were hoping to start the work early next week. Also if you have any advice on good reasonably priced structural engineers that would be really helpful. Many thanks, Julia
  10. Hi there, I'm helping my friend to update her bathroom in Notting Hill. The bath has a wooden surround and the taps come out of this. I'm organising for a new shower to be fitted tomorrow morning by a plumber and need to find a carpenter to help lift the wooden lid of the bath, create new holes for the new shower tap to come out of, fill old holes and finish. It needs to be a very slick job. While the plumber is doing his work in the bathroom...there is another tiny job that I'd like the carpenter to look at. One of the doors slides into a wall panel and is currently stuck. Please respond on here or text me on 07949271291 Best wishes, Julia

  14. Hi there, I'm looking for a reliable and trustworthy local cleaner to turnaround the rooms, change beds, empty bins, clean bathroom, floors, fridge etc between airbnb guests visiting while I'm away. They would need to live locally in order to meet the guests with the keys. The work would be quite ad-hoc and in some instances there might not be work one week...but then a couple of jobs the next, and I might only know of dates of turnarounds the week before. Can anyone recommend any one? Best wishes, Julia
  15. Hi guys, I posted on the forum last night looking for a decorator to do a small last minute wallpapering job for me. Stephanie got back to me last night with a very fair quote and her and her colleague Troy came over this afternoon and did the most wonderful job of papering my slightly oddly shaped attic room. Stephanie is an interior designer, landscape designer, she can plaster, paper walls, paint and do floors. She works with her team that she has trained up since leaving college to an exceptionally high standard and provided them with full time work. She's an entirely inspirational lady. You can text her on 07742 016412
  16. Hi there, I have a small attic bedroom and looking for a decorator to paper a small feature wall. The ceilings are very low...the ceiling is sloping. It would be 2hrs max work for an experienced decorator. Please PM me if you are available to do the work in the next couple of days. All the best, Julia
  17. Hi there, I was planning on making my own curtains this weekend...however can't seem to borrow a sewing machine. SO instead...I'm wondering if anyone could advice on any reasonably priced curtain services...or a handy person who is good with a sewing machine who might want to make some extra Christmas cash! I'm looking at 4 x lined curtains to be made 140cm width by 260cm drop. I have all of the material, lining and heading tape. Any thoughts would be massively appreciated! Thanks Julia x
