I would also like to add if people do start to use kitchen roll,wet wipes and boxed tissue - please do not flush them down the toilet, as these will block toilets/sewers - please use a bin to dispose of it (this is quite common in countries which do not have adequate sewer pipes). And there is always free metro newspapers to use, anyone else remember that tracing paper stuff they used to have in schools years ago

I struggle to see what people do in banks and have this debate with my mum. 20 yrs ago - yes, people used banks. Now - bills are direct debit, cheques are rarely dished out, most places give the option of direct bank transfer. Many businesses prefer less cash as it means less cashing up at the end of the day. Cash you can withdraw from a cash point. Anything complex they direct you to phone them anyway. From a cost effective point of view, lets say they have 150 customers a week,so in a year 7800 people. No idea how much it costs to run the bank, stab in the dark, lets say ?250,000, thats a cost of ?32 per person. Even when you go in a bank , they have the staff asking what you want to do, always trying to tell you how you could do it without going to the bank. They took one look at my mums 10 yr old mobile and let her pass to pay in her cheque at the machine lol

that does seem quite expensive but guess you have to weigh this up with the pollution that petrol/diesel give out. are the charging points all powered with electricity from a renewable source as if they are fossil fuel powered seems like we are going round in circles.

Can understand why they would install in a cluster as there was a lot of road digging to get the 5 i have saw being done in se24. Saying that, positioning them outside sunray park on a dead end road with no houses around is odd. I would be interested to know how many hours they have been used, from what i have seen i would say at most one has been used for maybe a few hours in total in the last month. They are empty 99% of the time

what will the restrictions be on them, the new bays i have seen in se24 are 4 hr max stay so fairly useless if you are a teacher or commuter, as you would have to move after this time. And if roads are going to have parking restrictions anyway, i can't see people flocking to use them.

Its so sad that someones livelihood has come to an end. The local chip shop has been a staple on any high street since the 70s and many chip shops are stuck there. But saying that I love a good fish&chip dinner with a gherkin that i can pick up for ?8 ish. But a business can not survive on the few people like me. If we look at the demographic of people in the area and also the vast number of food establishments and the ease of deliveroo, people are spoilt for choice and many don't bat an eye at spending ?50 on a take out on some artisan meal with a side of smashed avocado and goji berries ;). Sad but a sign of the times.

Sainsburys PR has gone into overdrive these last few weeks - this is all about publicity and nothing more. This fireworks thing, the Dyson Hoover offer, the twitter tweeting it was saturday (when it was friday), the new nectar app is being pushed hard. They are losing money and need any publicity.

Didn't they re do part of it a few years back. Does the council take note of these comments, how much do they count towards the final decision.
