  1. Very good Michael
  2. ..or to quote Felix Dexter (black UK comedian) upstairs at the EDT just after the Commitments had just come out..."Er, no actually Roddy we are"
  3. [quote name=There seems to have been an increase in crime in Dulwich lately, with robberies by East Dulwich Station and on Lordship lane as well as by Red Post Hill estate, i think a lot of it is by youths passing through the area probably from Peckham and Camberwell.] seems probably What are you telling us that is fact or new or enlightening that isn't just your opinion (whether it's right or wrong)?
  4. I'd be against it as I quite like having a dig at them out on the Forum...that would be a bit (or more?) out of order if they had their own little section.
  5. Was he called a thick french frog then?
  6. lordy lordy lordy - anyone got a light for my Torch I'm ready for a lynching
  7. Why is bubble racists too it's jut ryhming slang for greek?
  8. So we are to call the police if we see any youths with hoods on bikes *goes out to shed to look for pitchfork sharpener*

  10. I know Anna, I just felt the previous post was being a bit PC rather than factual, and your figures suggest there was some truth in that, although I'm glad to see levels have stabilised. Incidentally, as you're good at stats (I'm guessing) a widening gap in poverty doesn't neccesarily relate to an increase in actual poverty as it's a measure of differences with the average not an absolute measure - the rich could just be getting richer qucker than the poor. I don't mean that as tritely as it sounds, but that's the way the stats are collected. If Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and Donald Trump all became UK citizens tomorrow child poverty as we measure it would also increase. Finally on a lighthearted morbid note if it wasn't for TB I wouldn't be here as my grans' first husband died of it shortly after they married, so she ended up with my grandad a couple of years later. But I'd like it if we could eradicate it now.

    What to do.

I'm with Rosie. You're obviously struggling with this (understandably) hence your post, so unless there are mitigating circumstances say around you and your brothers relationship or his capability to take this on board, then I'd share it with him and see what he thinks. Other than that I agree that I probably wouldn't let your dad know and if you're going to trace a half sister you need to see if she wants that (I guess agencies can help you with that one). It really feels like you need to share this 'burden' fella for your own good.
  12. Don't think I didn't notice the 100 LadyM...could be some serious consequences...as Bob would have said....
  13. Anyone who hasn't got into reggae because they don't know where to start - and I know that's what a fair few people say understandably - could do worse than downloading all the tracks on this thread. Loving it.
  14. Atila - we agree on two things in the world now, this and reggae. I quite like a bit of funk too and so..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pe1Gff3tUBQ

  16. The issue I have is not with politics on the Forum, we have plenty of that and there are a number of excellent posters who are entirely open about their membership of various political parties but contribute intelligently and with thought on various issues as individuals rather than as spokespeople for their parties, the issue I have is political parties of any sort just coming on this forum for their own ends and doing their A) Poor surveys b) Point scoring c) Propoganda/electioneering. d) etc I like the independence of this site and don't want it full of any of the above. I'd have links to party sites where you lot can say how wonderful you are and how crap the other lot are but just leave us alone or expect more of the same rather than a warm welcome from me. As far as I'm concerned if you want to post as individuals on political threads NOT started by a political party then welcome aboard but poorly designed surveys with leading questions not really contexualised, containing 'knocking copy' that leave me suspicious of just how they are going to be used will be met with the sort of response you have got on here from me and others I'm sure. It's up to admin wether to allow this sort of thing and I'm not that worried if he does but I will be critical and not that welcoming to any party doing this. Anyway we won't be arguing about how we pack away our glass and cans when the chaos of the public finances your boss has left us with comes home to roost over the next few years, we'll be lucky to get a collection once a month then. Anarchy man.
  17. and Former France international David Ginola on BBC Radio 5 Live: "I'm very embarrassed by the situation. I don't feel very proud to be French this morning. The Irish played very well and they deserved to go through as much as France, maybe more. I'm very surprised Fifa haven't mentioned anything about it - the whole world saw the handball. This is a pure injustice. Everyone in France, the press and everyone, says there should be a replay."
  18. Some French views Francois Bayrou, a former candidate for the French presidency: "In an ideal world, the match should be played again. I saw the match and like a lot of people I wasn't very proud, and like everyone else I asked why don't we have a video match official. It works in rugby and it works very well." Leading French politician, Philippe De Villiers: "Raymond Domenech should express his public regrets and show a gesture of dignity towards Ireland. The moral of this match is that you can cheat as long as you don't get caught. The France team is going to be labelled for years as a team of cheats."
  19. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  20. Exactly Brendan - his decision to cheat may have been instictive to instead of the
  21. instictively......mmmmmmmmm
  22. Playing cards* *but not well
  23. Di Canio catching a ball when he had an open goal as the Everton Keeper was injured. There's plenty of examples of decent behaviour. Cheating should always be called cheating and not be accepted - idealistic? Maybe but I'm not going to stand up for Henry's blatant bit of cheating on any grounds becuse within the laws of the game it's is illegal and he is a cheat.
  24. Also LadyG, the bigger sin is doing it in the first place
  25. Anorak dalek point - Exterminated not annihaltaed. Anyone remeber the sex droids in Westworld? Surprise that hasn't been mentioned as a robot's taking over film
