    Behold!

Jon Stewart on the Daily Show used to give that one a good going-over Mr Carnell - can you IMAGINE what it's like?? As some people have only heard the likes of me talk about, it's time to see.... BEHOLD! - Dragon's Blood

    Behold!

Marvellous!! Chances of me every trying one are nil - but by golly I'm glad someone has Now I need to think of something that needs beholding
  4. mamafeelgood Have to agree - I was surprised when I saw it yesterday. The facia might have cost money but it sure as heck doesn't look it
  5. If, that's IF, a thread was started and simply titled "Behold!" I would check it out....
  6. edited for decency ;-)
  7. 'tis true Jah *bows*
  8. not at all - 'tis well known I have a soft spot for Louisa
  9. was that aimed at me? sheesh I'm not saying it can't be done - and if Shoshnttosh reports back that they did it in 5-6 hours I'll be made up for them. But I suspect that with kids, they will be stopping a bit more than you did. So make that an optimistic extra hour - 5+1 = 6 Add on 2 hours for August as per your calculations = 8. And given that at the time I didn't know which part of Cornwall was the final destination 9 hours seems reasonable I used to live on the side of the A30 - in a house, not just, you know.. on the side of the road, for 3 years. Even visiting the in laws 3 miles away took an hour some days... But I would still favour going that way rather than the M4/M5 as you suggest
  10. Indeed Natasha - it becomes you ;-)
  11. ooch aye HMB - first part of August - usually do the hostel thing Let's synch watches nearer the date and do a Portobello Beach Run. or not
  12. Natasha said: You're not Louisa as well are you????? ;-)
  13. I can hear it - the siren call - faintly on the breeze join us....join ussssss.....
  14. PCG - very good, like it Natasha - I was worried that would upset you! I meant my outlook on the impact children have seems to echo your views as expressed in this thread. I'm sure we can get back to disagreeing about everything else soon.. relax
  15. Hand on heart I can say I do not have a type There isn't a single class, race or size that I haven't found someone attractive from. The irish have never liked me however....
  16. y'see I am very much in the VBC camp - I think I have a decent handle on what I'm like and how I react to situations. And I don't think I'd handle the various stages very well. Or I would on the surface, but underneath... But reading shoshntosh and (particularly) lozzyloz' posts - it does provide inspirational insight. (but in reality I suspect I am more like NatashaD... )
  17. I think the problem is that the pictures he took make people look quite good this time - and he can't have that. He's photoshopping them - he always takes ages to make my hair look white ;-)
  18. Natasha - I wasn't laughing at you, honestly. It was your way with words... And despite what some others have said about their physiques being similarly ruined, all the parents I've met on here look very splendid. You will look back in 10-20 years time and wish you look as good as you do now...
  19. been a while since we've seen you at one loz - can we take it you'll be along? georgia - good work as ever
  20. Ms B and Moos arguing... this is just.. WRONG!
  21. Apart from wondering just what's to be gained from having little SeanMacGabhann's around (poor misguided shoshntosh!) I am enjoying several of the answers so far. I think the positives are really good (deluded and misguided, obviously, but helpful ;-) ) NatashaD made me laugh out loud as well. Can't say fairer than that
  22. I'm telling you... If you can do it in the 4-5 hours mentioned I'll buy you the petrol myself. I forgot to mention by the way - it will all be worth it when you get there.... Cornwall is well lush
  23. longer than you think. Once a consensus forms on here, add 2 hours to the figure arrived at. My best guess having done the journey twice (albeit in stages) is about 9 hours (given that it's the first Saturday in August and the roads will be .. fully-utilised)
  24. I really must stop reading these threads which even HINT at the disruption having children causes - someone needs to start a thread about why having kids is the BEST thing ever As I don't have kids, I shan't comment on the rights or wrongs of TV in their bedroom (although that home cinema comment from shoshntosh made me chuckle) but I always wanted one when I was a kid. For several years I wanted one in the living room as well mind you.... We got rid of the one in the bedroom a few years back - it just took up space and never got used. Another example of reality falling short of the idea. I am tempted to get one just above the bath tho' ....
