  1. ahhh, the certainty of..... well, something. But wait there's more where that came from Not only is this lacking in compassion but it brings guild into the equation - "look I would help them but don't hurt my ickle kiddy" Drug addicts have kids too - and not just the feckless ones. Life isn't all about choices, and even if it were, not all those choices are as informed as people would like. Many of us with fine jobs, family and friends are happy to give support to others. Not at the expense of other friends or the perfect ones who have chose wisely... but just FOR ITS OWN SAKE if you spend you time cowering indoors at the feral menace of zombie drug-addicts groaning up and down CPT then go for it - but don't tar us all with the same brush
  2. MP - I hide LadyMac from noone and count my blessings daily!
  3. gimme the ingredient list from that 550 cal version!
  4. Not sure about any of the other regulars on here but having my picture published from the various forum threads has not led to a single hello from anyone bar a handful of other forumites - and even THEN.....
  5. it's chickpeas, garlic, lemon, olive oil and a bit of what you fancy (paprika or whatever) - how many calories can their be???? Actually, thinking about it what is the difference between lo-fat hummous and regular???
  6. I don't mean I know you.. just to see around and about (yes, that vague) Next time I'll take a risk and say hi
  7. Derek & Clive ???? How much more warning does one person need??? Probably safe to assume comedy quotes may be unsafe for young un's (he says sheepishly after not warning anyone about the Bill Hicks material)
  8. oooh I think I might know you now....
  9. And I'll tell you off next time I see you too MP!
  10. bawdy-nan I empathise with your position - I would probably find myself in exactly the same dilemma. Where we differ I think is in asking for a child-friendly version. Christianity is what it is, book of Revelations fire-and-brimstone and all. If you show him just the white flowing robes version you risk the very thing you fear
  11. ha - just seen this. I was going to call Barclays today anyway but work overtook so never got the chance...
  12. have to say crocs = Uggs on the immediate "look away now"-ometor And dahlink surely someone as switched on as yourself makes her own hummous? Better in every way from the stuff in any shop (large or small)
  13. back in the early days of this forum I think a couple of threads along the lines of "who have you seen m/f around Dulwich who is fanciable" lemme have a rummage - ah yes, here's the guy one http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?20,8835,page=1
  14. "mmmm .. Rock Stars... is there anything they don't know...?"
  15. I bumped into Andrew from the forum and commented on the number of people - but whilst I agree that SOME of those people could do with a reality-check i will take a thriving, busy main drag over a tumbleweed ghost town any day of the week, any time of year any city and any lifetime This place...
  16. and he is talking of doing some live shows as well - amazing, amazing recovery and the album sounds great
  17. Harry Street ! That's teh name of the street with McDaid's on it I was going to mention the Green but thought "Dublin - October" etc.... Some good solid bookshops around to have a browse - I find the stock to be often different to UK shops
  18. Well the tourist nightmare that is Temple Bar reverts to a more arty-boho vibe in the daytime with bits of random music and arts centres around the place Wander up Grafton Street and look down one of the side streets to see a statue of Phil Lynott, opposite wich I always have a pint (of coke naturally) in Mcdaids, the regular haunt of Behan and his cronies
  19. going to the pub is the OTHER thing I need to cut down on ;-)
  20. and I was in love with Nora....
  21. 9pm last night (a Saturday) all 3 of the Barclays out of cash (but offering other services so not broken) and only 1 of the HSBC machines working - that is pretty poor isn't it?
  22. This will be the Forum Suggestions section then.. And I've already started a no more F word thread - so we are getting "no more F word" fatigue as well now ;-)
  23. Cheers Brendan - I've not seen that one before This is the film that turned me on to "Laugh? I nearly finished an album" LC Pump Up The Volume
  24. You're not too wrong MM
  25. didn't make it down today but it's still on my "go back" list. Shame - would have liked to say hello BM
