  1. hi i' m greek so i d like to think I can help you on this one... :) If you were going for 10 days - 2 weeks I would definitely suggest visiting a couple of island at least. my best suggestion would be to visit a cyclades islands. There is a boat that stops off to all islands. If you googgle it you will see the specific islands. Mylos (never been) is famous for its lovely sandy beaches, hopefully my next destination. Paros also is a pretty island to visit and so is Mykonos, although it is very popular and very expensive. Santorini does have beaches on the south east of the island however nothing special due to the volcanic pebble. I could not recommend enough visiting this island though (west side) for its breathtaking views! If you wanted to stay close to the mainland and particularly to athens you can always pop over (quickly) to Ydra and Spetses. They are nice and local. Spetses is quite small but nevertheless a beautiful island. I hope this helps.

  12. hello all I am greek, born and raised in athens but I have been living in the UK since 18. I have a little boy of 8 months and speak to him greek at all times, though when daddy is around we tend to speak english. My side of the family do no speak any english hence I m really keen for him to be bilingual :) happy to meet up for coffee if anyone else is interested.
  13. that it has never happened to him before.. so clearly he has been using the "key" trick for sometime.
  14. hi Lindsey, I did reply to the thread i misplaced on the for sale/offered section. He seems irritable but hey it could be coincidence! He has got bruising on his face (forehead, nose, eye) poor baby :( I just hope that is all, bruising will go I suppose. Doctor told me to look out for any odd behaviour and if I am still worried take him down to the a&e for an xray. I know my message perhaps came across a bit harsh but it was so upsetting and still is seeing his little face like this. mx
  15. A warning to all mums! I took my 4 month old son for his passport pictures at the fourway pharmacy in Herne hill. The pharmacist was dangling a large set of keys over his head (1.5 high) and he dropped them on his head!!! My poor little boy! I m now at the doctors for him to be checked out! Before I took him there I phoned and they told me they have a lot of experience in taking baby pictures. Clearly not if they are choosing to dangle keys over a baby s head!!!!!! So very upset and worried! If you are after passport pictures my suggestion would be to look elsewhere!
  16. I have the same problem with my 3 month old, though if I was to compare him to when he was 2 months I would say he s a little better. Personally I try to get him in the car as much as possible as my belief is that one day he might just get used to it.. good luck
  17. really? now i m impressed.... im definitely going next week :o) ok something else that is really odd.. when I took baby boy yesterday to the osteopath they also offered me a session after I told them about my heavy blood flow for the past 2-3 days. I thought it was my period early and ultra ultra ultra heavy. Now Ok this could be a big coincidence but since last night it seems to have eased off, as in not changing a heavy duty pads every 1-2 hours.. so hmmmmmm who knows! sorry to go on about blood etc but i am a little amazed if the osteopath had anything to do with it.
  18. Thanks Stellakis I will check the homeopathic remedy out. (Chantell) So your little one is on Hipp but still gassy huh. A friend of mine recommended this brand as her son seems to be less gassy than when he was on aptamil. My son is 6 weeks old and so hoping this gas story is going to end sometime soon... Today I took him for the osteopath appointment. I dont want to sound negative but I m honestly not sure how they did and how it would help him. However still willing so I will take him again next week...fingers crossed.
  19. I had ordered online dentinox which arrived today so will start on that to see if it makes any difference. If not gripe water will be next on the list. And yes I have the first osteopath appoinment tomorrow. Just willin to try anything in hope it will help him! What I don't get is that online I found quite a few formulas which are meant to be sensitive for gassy babies (like enfamil genlease & similac sensitive etc) but I think you can only get them from the US..
  20. does anyone know any formula brand for gassy babies? my baby is on aptamil at the moment and he finds it hard to bring up the gas and when he eventually does he is disturbed etc. Its so annoying as its also interrupts his sleep and wakes him up hence left with a cranky baby (bless him) I am trying infacol at the moment before every feed. I think has made a small difference but not enough. I heard that Hipp organic formula could do the trick, has anyone ever tried that? any tips are welcome.. thanks
  21. Hello, Monkey did you ever boil water and mix some with formula to kill bacteria, then stick the bottle in the fridge. when needed, take bottle out of the fridge and put further fresh boiled water to Make up to correct dosage plus bring the formula at good temperature for baby to drink? Has anyone else done this? Really Scared of infection and at the moment and just making feed as I go along but I always have to be one step ahead unless I want a screaming baby :( Bring on the New Year now! Thanks for any comments on my post...
  22. hello Sunlover just a little confusing but yes you are right he will probably be late anyhow... I might be away this bank holiday wk, but if not I will make sure to come.. thanks for adding me to the emails.. Mx
