Are you naturally a c*nt or do you practice on a daily basis, either way you're there.
  4. I have to say the version of The Jam's "That's Entertainment" being used in an ad at the moment is awful.
  5. My friends and I used to spill out of there and over to the late night kebab restaurant opposite the nick and stay in ther until 3 or 4 in the morning. Boy did we pay the price the next morning.

Bob Mortimer used to drink in there quite a bit and you're right it was full of art students, plus many of those that worked in Kings College, my wife being one of them back then.

The Grove was great place to drink in the early 70's up until the early to mid 80's by then many of the regulars started to use the pub that had opened in Denmark Hill station ticket office. It's never been the same since, despite numerous attempts to drum up new business and renaming the place on many ocassions, its never been as busy or as atmospheric as it was.

If I remember rightly they had an office in Piccadilly, and they used to have office parties which I used to go along to, and we were able to buy cases of Tooheys and Swan at discount prices from the office manager. Happy days.

  16. Bottled Lowenbrau imported from Germany back in the early 70's and drunk at the Grove Tavern in Camberwell was a favourite of mine, as was Tooheys and Swan lager when they were imported from Oz. Very nice when served cold. Fosters and Castlemaine Four X used to be decent when it was brewed in Oz and exported to the UK, also back in the 70's.

  18. Balotelli undoubtedly has talent, application is what he lacks. That's a posh way of saying he can't be arsed.

Good luck to West Ham, maybe they can get some value out of him. Talking of value, Balotelli anyone?

  23. This time last season Yanited had one more point than they have under Van Fail, with the same number of games played. Will he be given the luxury of time that wasn't afforded to Moyes? Of course he will, the decision makers can't be seen to have their judgement called in to question again so quickly. But I digress. Southampton have proved a host of doubters wrong and currently sit second in the table. After off loading so many players during the summer, that is indeed an achievement. Given the circumstances I'd say that ranks along side the Chavs performance thus far, and with a fraction of their resources. Well played,.............thus far anyway.

Jenko is class and is getting some good experience.
