The Suarez was handled extremely badly and why the club ever thought wearing T shirts in support of the player was a good idea only they will know. And don't forget the shirt burning when it was widely thought Stevie G was off to the chavs.Perhaps it's all part of that world famous scouse sense of humour.

Doubtless you still don't see that as relevant.

But why wouldn't you, it was deserving of a red card.

As I've said before, Ozil ansd Sanchez are "nice to have" but there weren't priorities for us. We still need a world class CB, DMF, and striker. When we have those, maybe we'll make some progress. Or maybe when we get Debuchy, Giroud, and Walcott back, things may change.

Just doesn't have what it takes to cut it for me on a global stage and especially in the field of foreign diplomacy. The bumbling buffoon character may be a PR exercise, very realistic though, but I wouldn't want to give him the benefit of doubt.

The British do indeed love an underdog, but a privileged "underdog" is less likely to garner sympathy.

I agree with that EP, defelecting attention away from their own back yard.

Southampton have been brilliant, given the players that have moved on and what they had left, most predicted oblivion for them. Well done to them, nice to see a club outside of the usual suspects having a decent run. How long it will last, who knows?

Surely one of the basic rules for such games is to ensure the away fans are searched before entering the ground, as well as conducting a search of bags carried by any supporter, home or away, before going through the turnstile?
