I have been intouch with the lovely Shona that owns the space and she is really easy going and will not mind us letting our lil ones cause a lil chaos unlike a lot of cafes in the area. The address is 61 Cheltenham Road, SE15 3AF. would be fab to have a nice group of us, and maybe a walk around the Rye afterwards. Looking forward to hearing from you. X

  15. Hey mums So i have been thinking, that as much as we all like to discuss our feelings online. I am thinking about organising a get together with guest 'mum' speakers. I have a few mum authors in mind, mums that are honest about motherhood and would like to share their experiences (f you would like to speak or know someone who would pls get intouch the more the merrier) We can have Q&A's, cake, tea and generally a afternoon of honesty. We are all in the motherhood boat together, i am pretty sure none of us find it easy. It would be great to hear you thoughts and ideas. I think this is something we could all benefit from. Jenny x
  16. Hey Just wondering if anyone can help advise me with something to do locally with a 1.5 yr old toddler. I was thinking popping to the library? Any other thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Don't you just hate this weather!!! And if any mums are in the same 'lost' kinda mood today maybe you could join us. Thanks Jenny x
  17. of course it is ok to talk about baby stuff, i am not alienating anyone. Everyone that comes along really enjoys themselves and like i said we have sooo many diff ages and types of people and if you look at the site in further detail it is very honest and we say how hard and exhausting motherhood is. And yes your life as it was no longer exists. I did not come on here for confrontation, i am trying to do something positive and get mums together not alienate anyone. We have a fantastic event coming up on 15th Feb, there will be celebs telling stories and a champagne breakfast. Mothers Meeting have been asked to invite mums, so if ANYONE fancies coming along. Let me know and i will give you the details. cool/creative whatever you want to call it, is a state of mind.
  18. i was using the apron example, as a stereotypical creative give away. Not saying that we don't love crusty acrylic covered aprons either! Because we do!!! You should def come along x
  19. nope not cross just a graphic designer who has a fetcish for uppercase x
  20. oh sorry i never meant for it to come across like that, when i say 'creative' i mean it in a state of mind kind of way. Not necessarily artists. We have mums from sooooooooooooooo many diff backgrounds, varying from bankers, teachers, actresses, lecturers, shop assistants, pianoe teachers, journalists etc a whole sprectrum and thats what makes it so great! Meeting mums from so many different walks of life. At MM we consider 'creative' as someone who looks up at the sky and appreciates its colour, someone who enjoys choosing a nail varnich that compliments their shoes, who takes photographs of the weird n wonderful not someone that wears a apron covered in crusty acrylics. Sorry if i came across wrongly. Pls join us at our next MM!!! x x

Look forward to hearing from you x
