  1. Thanks for the suggestions, but I was hoping to re-home her locally as I'm not going to have time to get out to Biggin Hill She may just have to come up North with me...
  2. Could anyone take in a hen? I am now down to one hen (as of this morning) and wondered if there are any other hen owners that could take her in I would get some more (they're all ex batts), but I am moving home to Scotland on Friday and since she's now on her own, would rather re-home her PM or call me on 07958984996 Thanks

  8. Anyone else hear him mispronounce Jeremy Hunt this morning on the Today programme? The poor man had to pretend to have a coughing fit to compose himself
  9. i cannot recommend this service highly enough... for use within a whole family, it is excellent. you do not have to take crap from any bank / service provider / utility company / train company / insurance company. you literally have access to good lawyers at all times, who are sympathetic and will not charge you. i keep them on my speed dial! pass it on. 10. Hmmmm... It's that or there's a big Merc magnet hanging over our street
  11. Our lovely old Mercedes was stolen from Sainsbury's car park a few weeks ago The week before our neighbour across the road had her Mercedes van stolen Now our next door neighbour has had his Mercedes van stolen from outside the house Coincidence? Bad luck? Or is there something I should know?
  12. I saw him a few of weeks ago outside Sainsbury's when it was really cold I asked him if he wanted anything and he said yes, people like me to leave him alone Then he told me to f... off So I think you're right. He doesn't want to be bothered...
  13. I know but I would have had to mount the pavement, there was a woman with a buggy standing beside him, yada yada yada...
  14. The new lot want another ?30 to guarantee it. Whatever that means. And in the same vein, has anyone ever used 1st Central for car insurance? They're cheap, which isn't always a good thing...
  15. Mark Owen, the little fella from Take That, in Dulwich Park
  16. Is there any point in me paying a new insurance company to protect this? After someone driving into me last year, everything settled through their insurance, and me having 7 years NCB protected, my current insurance company want to shaft me for another ?150 on my policy
  17. Yes I do have a good description of her, her car, the dogs etc but I'm hesitant to post She implied that she was a professional dog walker and with the mixed bag of mutts she had in the car it would seem that she was I don't want to stop the woman making a living, but her attitude stank. And as as dog owner myself I would be furious if I found she had left any of my dogs in a car in this weather for any length of time And, if it's of any reassurance, she wasn't a dog walker I recognise from any of the parks round here
  18. I was all prepared for a smash and grab using my own tins of newly purchased dog food... with slight trepidation admittedly as two of the dogs were a very large rottweiler and a husky... I even had the car wash guys on stand by with water
  19. I know everyone keeps going on about this but please don't leave your dogs in your car in this heat I've just come back from Sainsbury's (Dog Kennel Hill appropriately enough) having had a stand-up row with a woman who had left 4 dogs in the car In her defence she said: It was okay as she was a dog walker (no, I didn't understand her logic either) She was only in the supermarket for 5 minutes (she wasn't, she was at least 10 minutes from the time I got them to make an announcement) And the windows were open (they were, but only slightly) She also said I was a busy body (yes I probably am, but the dogs were getting distressed and if it had been my dog in the back of the car I would have been very p****d off) Rabid rant rant over...
