  1. I don't mean to be a pedant but I'm sure this is 'The East Dulwich Forum', not the SE15, SE5, SE21 SE23 forum.

    Bees swarming

I would like to get a bee hive on my roof. Is this a bad idea and/or will it cost a fortune.

  5. surely your dad will do it for a pint.
  6. Does anyone know what time the new pub opens on Thursday?
  7. I'm looking forward to the new pub opening, however, whilst sitting at the bar shall I have to refrain from swearing in order to appease the pram brigade (ie Ben Hur).

    The Ashes

We might just be in with a chance.
  11. I'm with Mr Lush, the geezer was a paedo who did a couple of good tunes.
  12. T'was there, very yummy.
  13. I'm just popping out to get some red paint in preparation to paint crosses on folks' front doors.
  14. Yes, Mon 13th, sorry my mind was elsewhere. The 16th is the 1st day of the test match against Australia at Lords, but that's by the by. I heard from a fairly reliable source in the CPT. It was originally meant to be 4 weeks' work after it closed fully. T'was never a realistic estimation. It's an old building remember and to meet up to current regs was always going to require a fair bit of graft. It may be worth adding another week on for good measure, but keep on checking.
  15. Apparently the opening has been put back to Mon 16 July. I just hope they'll continue to do cheap beer until 5pm weekdays - it was great, and v. nice sarnies to boot. Also one of the few pubs left that shows sport.
  16. CPT, and they'll be showing the greatest show on earth - THE ASHES
  17. I'd bet the WI's are loving this respite due to the rain. But will it last.
  18. I wonder if they'll have cribbage and bridge evenings!
  19. She never did live in Dulwich. She bought the house, the builders chopped down the trees at the back of the rugby pitch where we used to go for a sneaky cigarette during school, to make way for her garden. All for nothing, she never stayed there. I too saw a mini motorcade a couple of weeks ago twice coming down LL from the Harvester and turning down Barry Road, no idea why. There didn't seem to be anyone except for the driver in Range Rover which was the main car. Ho hum.
  20. Definitely hit by a wee lad on his bike. The lad who must be all of 5 or 6 was in tears over the situation. Not good all round but mountains and molehills do play a bit of a part.
  21. I agree thomas thomas. The reign of terror is over. May the light prevail.
  22. This is great! My house looks like the same wreck it was a year ago!
  23. Saw my first cloth eating parasitic b'stard a week ago. Just a warning to do something now or forever hold your thingy!!
  24. We all know why the place is empty. I don't want to name names however much I'd love to. Bring back the girls. What a laugh we all had without getting butted. And Keef, food is realistic. Spoke to Tricia t'other day and she is quite happy for there to be a series of takeaway menus behind the bar such that people can order their own and bring it in, having mentioned The Gypsy Hill Tavern from the other year.
  25. Not being a crap 'game' fan myself I couldn't have put it better. CPT should be excellent what with the armchairs that are there now. Ideal for a kip in the afternoon after the lunch break and ready for a few more during tea.
