  1. Can't believe you back Barca! Do you not remember a wet wednesday May night in Paris last season

Not to mention Henry might be off there!

Oh dear Ladygooner, before you give your full support to Real remember that if Madrid do pull it off this weekend and Ruud remains top scorer then Fergie and Man U collect a ?2m kick back from the sale of Becks and Van Nistlerooy.

  2. As I understood it, brass studs are used as an alternative to blister paving and that its incorporation is purely on aesthetic not technological grounds.

As demonstrated by Unkle_Paulie's www.specialpaving.co.uk link.

Jackangel, I confess I?m only drawing from memory on what I've seen at some pedestrian crossings and read with regard to English heritage and the DFT advice to local councils. You've obviously got a thorough knowledge about what is standard for the visually impaired thus are far more informed than me and most probably right.

  3. For something a little different try arty London based station Resonance FM 104.4, it's very original and a bit avant garde sometimes, been going about 5 years now and can be hit and miss as they let some absolute nutters loose on the airwaves. It's quite refreshing and great to dip in and out of, especially in the evenings.
  4. Spadetownboy, your point about police and press conferences reminded me. I lived in Oxford when a student Rachel McClean went missing, the police wheeled out a very sweaty boyfriend/murderer - John Tanner- who broke down in tears at the press conference said he loved her, pleading for her to get in contact, he also did a reconstruction waving her off at Oxford train station. Later it turned out that right from the get-go the police knew she'd never got on a train and thought he'd killed her.
  5. Cats should wear bells in order to allow my sound-guided chaingun garden accessory to turn them into a pretty Jackson Pollock of red and pink textured smears.

    Huguenot,

in a bid to save the cats of east Dulwich from your felicidic tendencies I implore you to take out your artistic frustrations here instead. You'll need your mouse though;-)

  6. Yeah it happened about 11 ish on the corner of Lordship and Melford, poor postie looked like he'd hurt his leg, no sign of assailant, seemingly it happened while he was collecting from one of the Royal Mail boxes they store mail in, maybe postie gave chase cause he was flat out at the bottom of Melford passage when the cops got there.
  7. Bless you TT, on taking another look at the sketch I think that young lady could be DM.

Anyway just for you TT,as it is your thread and all, here's a scientologist (Top Gun himself) in the mist.

  8. I hope lots of people are going to get up and out to the Dulwich Festival Artists' Open Houses this and next weekend, some of the houses are open from today.

It looks like there's some fantastic stuff this year and it's the perfect excuse to check out some lovely Dulwich homes.

I shall be knocking back cheap plonk at a few private views tonight, which reminds me I must eat something first.

  9. Thank you TT.

Mockney piers, it was Aphex Twin Windowlicker video, TT's right there's an awful lot of "ni**er talk" at the start, then ... well take look at the usual place, it is indescribable. But also one of my favourite videos. But there is plenty of very odd Cunningham stuff that should never go near this place.

Oh yes and I was reminded of it after the the wonderful Fur Q post
