The extra space is also so you can unfold the buggy at the side of car and not behind. Ie away from oncoming traffic.

Kandassamy & Curtis, your stuff is dumped in my street
Giacomelli replied to char1i3's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
You could sell the hamper on north cross rd market for 100 quid! -
I used Fran at Fresh Flower company a couple of years ago for my wedding and she did a marvellous job. My wedding was in September and I wanted seasonal flowers a lot of colour in the bouquets. The buttonholes were very nice too and all delivered to the right places/on time etc. Think she gets booked up quite quickly. Pm me if you want photos

How to get baby home from hospital?
Giacomelli replied to OverTheRainbows's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hello, We don't have a car either, but I bought a maxi cosi car seat second hand on the forum for about 20 quid. It fits on our buggy (for going abroad - hire car etc) and we use it every time we need to take a cab. Some taxi companies charge for a car seat. It has therefore been well worth the money. It also meant I didn't get any hassle from anyone on leaving the hospital -
Would like to know how much this costs and recommendations for electrician to do it. Thanks

I have never returned to this restaurant after we were also treated badly by the owner 18 months ago. It's a shame as the first time we went we had a lovely lunch and the waiter was charming (a young French chap). My husband met a friend there for dinner, 2 of them were seated at a table for four people. As I was returning from work I thought I'd pop in and join them for dessert. This seemed to be a massive problem for them and they slammed our plates down on the table and talked about us in French (I have a degree in languages). My husband and his friend work in restaurants so they were pretty appalled. In the evenings it's not cheap, so for a posh-is meal I'd rather go to ToastED or take a jaunt to Joanna's in Crystal Palace where the service has been excellent on recent visits.

Hello, I have a open shelving unit in an alcove in my kitchen and I would like a door made and fitted for it, so that I don't have to look at my food all day! Could anyone recommend someone fit for the job. Thanks

I can completely understand why you might leave a buggy hidden in the boot. They are perhaps not the most obvious thing to steal and in this rubbish weather you have to bring buggy in to clean house with mud and leaves all over the wheels. I don't have a car btw so my small flat is covered in leaves.

Another Dunstans roader here but at the lordship lane end. It really takes no time at all to get to the main drag on foot. We have a baby now but we lived here for 2 years as just a couple and really enjoyed all the pubs and restaurants. Most of us are all very friendly on dunstans. My neighbours are great. I moved here from north London and have never looked back.

Laundry Service that collects and delivers
Giacomelli replied to madmum's topic in Request a Tradesperson
Washboard in Peckham. I called them on a Friday at 4.30pm, they collected same day at 7.30pm and it was returned to me Saturday evening. Very good service. Not sure what areas they cover I am in se22 -
You are allowed to push buggies around John Lewis Oxford Street (4th or 5th floor?) They give you a fake baby to use.

Hello, After a string of guests in my little flat I have fallen behind on all the bed sheets that need to be washed - does anyone know if any of the dry cleaners in se22 wash and iron sheets? Any idea on the price? Thanks!
-
Possibly. She said it was two white males speaking a language that was possibly eastern European.

I live on Dunstans Rd (near Goodrich junction) and yesterday my mum, who is visiting, said she was slightly suspicious of 2 men in a silver car (old saloon type). I actually said at the time oh I'm sure it's fine and brushed her off a bit!

Hello, Wonder if anyone can help me with this IT issue. When I try to open Microsoft Word (have Windows 7) or any other Microsoft office I get a "preparing to install message" after 2 minutes an error "Problem with Shortcut - Fatal error during installation" appears. Any recommendations on who can fix this? Thanks, G

Tips for support tights in pregnancy?
Giacomelli replied to Convex's topic in The Family Room Discussion
http://www.pebbleuk.com/shop/products.asp?cid=4&pid=5 I have a job where I am standing most of the day so I invested in 3 pairs of these solidea 140 denier compression tights. Absolute godsend. Have lasted well too. Pretty much in constant use from 16 weeks. Now 37 and still going strong. -
Depends who is teaching it... I found it more helpful than my nct session on it. Lots of time for questions.

I don't have a car and am looking for a taxi company to pick up my elderly monther-in-law from Stansted. I have used many taxi companies before but they have always waited outside. I need someone to be waiting at the arrivals area with a sign. Has anyone got any recommendations?

Reusable Nappies - yey or ney. Advice please.
Giacomelli replied to Giacomelli's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Thank you both. Advice like this is priceless x -
Hello, I am sure this has been done time and time again on the forum, but I would like to have some advice on reusables v disposables. I contacted the Nappy Lady and did her survey, she recommended Bambinex Teddy Nappies as I do not have a tumble drier and they are quick drying. I live in a small flat and don't have a car, so if I buy disposables I need to bulk buy with delivery to make them cost effective - therefore they take up loads of room. Those using disposables: does your bin stink after 2 weeks - I share my green bin with upstairs neighbour and it is often full by the time collection day comes. Those using reusables: Does the nappy bin keep in smells? Should I attempt this without a drier? HAve you saved money or does the cost of washing make it the same? Is the only reason you use them for environmental reasons? What do you do when you are out and about? Did you use them from new born or is it best to wait until they are a certain weight? Many thanks in advance for your time. All advice greatly appreciated.
