can't say as I've seen this film I'm afraid but John Norman Howard from A Star is Born with Kris Kristofferson and Barbara Streisand. I can't say as I was a milion miles away with some of my thinking, but I was going down the route of real life music stars played by singers. He was much better in Blade ;) Bah, tough one.

well some of them are givens you can't do much about, some of them express truths but without really say anything about them (ie 10, yeah but no but. It was all terrible. Even the leftfield act, a passably pretty kiwi plopping out generic post post post techno cum ga ga ballad pap was just terrible. I do love music, but tonight was like anti matter to music.

Ooooh, watching Jools. Not sure which is more excruciating, Kanye West's earnest gospel take on his 'ghetto' music, neatly and acoustically packaged for the chattering classes to knock one out to, or Sting's typically misplaced attempt, well, to do anything, but in this case rediscover his heritage. Apparently the unthanks feature on his new album. Anyone interested. Do yourselves a favour. Buy an unthanks album.
