I have heard that the local cats are marking properties in Ed with chalk signs, apparently to inform other cats about the status of the occupants eg a white cross = the owners are idiots who will take them in for a free emal, a yellow circle to show that the inmates are willing to take a sick cat to the vets and pay all the bills. Please be careful. If you se a home marked with one of these signs, tell the gullible householder that they are being taken advantage of.
