So in fact Obama 'war' is actually an attempt to defend the US constitution and bill of rights and an individual's rights enshrined therein against a catholic funded campaign to limit them. Somewhat reminiscent of Republicans bleating about the need to curtail Iranian expansionism when the country is almost entirely surrounded by US allies and airbases. I think the word is 'propaganda'. In fact I do find the whole thing confusing, even inconsistent (imagine that!!). He's just true to his dogma. Catholic orthodoxy has it that sin damages our souls our society and the very fabric of reality. They always play the long game, today it's contraception in the US healthcare system, tomorrow we're all back in monastaries praying for souls and flagellating our sins away. It's completely bonkers frankly. And that tone So utterly repellent and smacking of fanatcism as holders of 'the truth' always do. I don't care about 'achievement' I just care if you can actually do what you claim you can. In my industry there is a lot of blag. IME the greater the self hype the weaker the technical skills/business knowledge. My CV is very short and very dry but I got a job after being made redundant a year ago in a bad market so other geeks must think like I do.

I actually find a surfeit of 'and i was brilliant at that' and 'i used that skill in this situation' massively off-putting and those sorts of CVs slip down the pile. But then I guess maybe that's the techie nature of what I do, I don't care if you claim you're great, I just want to know if you can actually do what you say you can do. I've lost count of the number of interviews that collapse at the first sign of a simple technical question "can you return all the benchmarks that aren't being used by a portfolio"?. I always keep Paula Bean as my morality tale of how bad things can get if you don't actually find out before employing them.

I've just caught up with this sorry little tale on the beeb sport site. 3 things: 1. This little turd seems to nicely encapsulate everything that is making me fall out of love/lose patience with the game. 2. Should the BBC refer to the teams as Red Devils and Irons, what the hell is this, Shoot!? 3. That new look is just ..... awfullllll.....I mean reallly....reallllly.....bad!!!!

I achieved one thing in woodwork at school. A little set of shelves. It was basically a small ikea Billy. I proudly took it home only for my dad to say 'Hmm the screws could be useful' and promptly dismantling it before my eyes and throwing the wood on the fire. I can't even whittle these days so traumatised am I.

I've still yet to see a breakdown, I imagine, as all ready speculated on, that the majority are countries attempting to repatriate their own citizens to face justice rather than give up our own citizens to face foreign justice. How many of those are uk citizens to the US and vice versa? ...bueller? And remember, they have five times our population and about 50 times our prison population so they probably have a great deal more people trying to flee justice.!
