  1. Thanks JohnL The shenagins around the planning app... as my mum used to say "I could write a book". Heres the view from my kitchen window...not for long. K.
  2. I guess that's a yes then? Anyone? K.
  3. Queeries about building insurance. If they pull these trees and my building floods can i make a building insurance claim? Even if the landlord is the owner of ajacent property? As an adjacent property holder (Southwark v Southwark) I cannot claim 'right to light' or ask for an injunction. I have no recourse to law. Is this true? K.
  4. Apologies SE15... Appreciate accommodation in the lounge. K.
  5. They don't look the same without their leaves on... Removal next week. :(. K.

    Grief

What if your love of books is what brought you together in the first place... Every page turned immerses one in grief...? Where is the solace in that? K.
  7. Can Southwark retain the broadcast rights to this venue thus opening up a commercial opportunity to retain the site for its original purpose? Is Peter Crouch available for comment? K.
  8. Scotland the Brave!!!
  9. Hey apologies didn't mean to offend those who put in the time and energy to get the pub up and running. Thanks for flagging up the community open day on the 7th of March. Unfortunately it clashes with Southwark Homeowners conference although that finishes at 5pm. If you want I can take a couple of tupperware boxes along and bring sandwiches back in the evening guys? The council always overdo it at these events...:). Offering this as I'm aware the Ivyhouse management committee were reluctant to appoint auditors even after the floor tried to explain these could be non elected members and would not cost like external auditors do and there is unlikely to be any freebies (sandwiches) for existing shareholders. If you think my offer to purloin a few sandwiches is strange I'd like to know why you think it's not strange to appoint auditors particularly prior to launching another share release and where the committee admitted there was a hole in stock? What exactly are funds being used for? Having a party is one way of keeping people sweet I suppose. No doubt we'll be hoping a lot of prospective shareholders will be woooooed! so further 'local/community' events can be organised. K.
  10. Why? Why are under 18's excluded from using the venue? You and your feckin licensing laws. 8pm? No Booze you choose? Local Parents will have appreciated in the past when teens have gigged there (professionally) and gone on to play at festivals... Surely that can happen again? This is what I mean this venue is just for trust fund hippies. K.
  11. yes unfortunately I referred to a colleague as a 'kraut'. Being a 'jock' it didn't go down well. K.
  12. Hello Sparticus, No I'm happy Peckham has moved on I campaigned for the Library. My concern is that a local community resource has become little more than a 'brothel' of an evening. Judging by the way certain staff 'are' appreciated. K.
  13. Sorry I was head of Art and Media for the youth service in the naughties..
  14. Hello Peckman, When this pub was struggling in the 1990's I was head of Art and Media for the youth service. I negotiated with the land lord to open it up for under 18 nights. Many of the young local bands were able to perform there. There were quees around the block with young people wanting to see local young bands perform. Now it's a closed shop. Staff have been compromised.... Need I say more? K.

  16. Thanks geh be good to know about shares etc. Im a bit stupid about this sort of thing....
  17. So land nearby is premium real esate in case you hadn't noticed.
  18. Just saying...
  19. Has the Ivy House been taken over by trust fund hippies?
  20. That would be a bit odd. My little car is a bit of an eyesore that I do admit too. It came cheap to me as it has a few dents on it but it has an exceptionally low mileage and is pristine under the bonnet (practically brand new tires)so not guilty of polluting either. K.
  21. Honestly don't think so and not blocking a driveway or other vehicle on either occasion. K.
  22. School coach beats a hummer in my book...
  23. I realise there has been a lot of cars vandalised recently in our area from previous posts. Is this something I should report to police? Might there be a pattern to the vandalism? Just a thought. K.
