  1. EE House all the way (it is near the old Harvester in Dulwich). It used to be good and is now taken over by new management and after a couple of quick blips is even better now! Tried Magic Wok and i would say it is alot better! Seems quite competitive too.
  2. If you want to take part, take part. If you do not, do not. Let people be!! Bloody hell you guys?.you somehow fail to realise that others have different interests/personalities/beliefs and priorities to you! I would not take part in it either to be honest but I at least recognise that there are people who would be interested and see it as an interesting social experiment or allow them to get on the TV or have their own reasons for taking part, so fair enough for asking the question.

Just because something is labelled as a ?local? or an ?express? does not necessarily mean that a) it is local to people who shop there or b) you cannot do larger shopping trips there. Maybe more limited shopping trips but you could easily get enough groceries to warrant a car drive. Add to that the need to nip to a shop for a last minute ingredient half way through cooking something, inclement weather, kids, living halfway down Crystal Palace road etc then you can see quite a few reasons why people might drive to A Sainsbury?s local.

My similar query is why run one of the peak trains to South Bermondsey and not to LB in the morning. No offence to anyone from South Bermondsey but who the hell travels there at that that in the morning if at all (unless there are any Millwall supporters out there).
  5. but see that is part of the problem. I am sure it is not easy moving signals, platforms and sequencing around but surely they have some sort of plan as to how it work going forward. It almost sounds that they move things around and then decide to figure out how it will work once it is actually up and running.
  6. We spend months without a platform at LB with delays coming in. they close LB after NY to do engineering works and redevelop the station and we come back to worse than before. Signal failures, cancelled trains, short trains, apologies for delays and one of the most irritating excuses, the driver has not shown up (probably because he is catching one of your bulls*t trains to work!). What the hell is wrong with the signals and what the hell is congestion at London Bridge? The trains are timetabled and should be arriving on time and therefore congestion means that they are messing up rather than too many trains are turning up to LB. If I have to do one more walk from South Bermondsey to work I am going to blow a fuse and I am thinking most of my work colleagues think I am just a late riser as I am consistently late and don?t even bother apologising anymore. It is really bad and the problem is there is no accountability. You can scream at the staff or you can send an angry email which will be added to the ?pissed off commuter? pile and probably ignored but they still have the nerve to fine you if your oyster card does not beep you through properly (I am waiting for that argument one day ? I might end up sectioned). To make matters worse these trains seem to turn up ?by surprise? when you are waiting for them or disappear into thin air. You are waiting at a platform seeing that the train is coming in 5 mins, 5 mins come and go and the train is still somehow expected 5 minutes ago and then it suddenly is expected in 15 minutes time with no warning or announcement. Likewise you will be waiting on platform 15 and it suddenly gets announced that it is leaving from platform 12 with 1 minute to go causing mass panic as people scramble through the barrier obstacle course that has been set up to launch yourself into a train before it leaves and you have to play another 30 minute guessing game. Staff surely know if a train is coming or not, or likely to leave from a different platform and give you a bit of notice just to make life easier. We just stand there patiently sweating on an overcrowded, late train, inhaling the flu riddled air and staring into our phones whilst we get our daily ?apologies we are being held at a queue going into LB? from an unenthused train driver who pushes 3 buttons for a living and has become so accustomed to making the same excuse that he probably does it in his sleep. It really is ridiculous?
  7. turn the head upside down! or in absence of that put a sponge, cloth or towel down so it absorbs the drip and does not make a noise. These are just short terms solutions...
  8. Some ridiculous comments here from some people who clearly have nothing better to do and nit-pick and try ?put people in their place?! You do not have to be an adult in this forum (indeed she is probably more mature than people three times her age over here), 11.30 for a 13 year old to be awake and using a forum of this sort is not a problem (she is not 8 using an adult forum) and the terms Gypsy was a) used by the person who saw the culprit as a description and b) although slightly politically incorrect is not offensive as far as I know (I know of some gypsies who refer to themselves as gypsies and do not bat an eyelid at the term). It is very very different from some of the other racial slurs used against other minorities.

  10. I would speak to Phil at the Old Alleynian Rugby club on Dulwich common. Lots of space for a more "country" wedding and you can put up a marquis on the grounds and use the bar whilst being able to organise your own caterers, music etc if you wish. i have been to some great weddings there and in Easter the weatehr should be perfect for it.
  11. I would recommend Emma who lives in Dulwich and does a great job with my cat when i am away. she is able to visit regularly and genuinely loves cats so you would not need to worry about anything whilst you are away (especially if he is spoilt!). i see she has responded above :)
  12. Hahah wow! Completely unreasonable in my opinion ... one mistake (which they tried to rectify and reminded you about) and you treat them like this! benefit of the doubt and a bit of leeway would be nice...oh and i also like egg fried rice on its own. If you had more meat in your diet you may be more tolerant and a happier person - http://www.karger.com/Article/FullText/334910
  13. A wheelie you say!? A WHEELIE?!? The audacity...
  14. Emma has looked after my cat on several occasions and I can thoroughly recommend her. Not only does she do a very good job at looking after my cat and ensuring that he (and the house) are all well and good but she clearly loves looking after him which fills me with more comfort when I leave him behind. Very happy to recommend her!!
  15. i had little water this mornign again in Court Lane. if i dont have a shower soon people at work are going to start complaining!
  16. There was no water in Court Lane either! was concerned it was just me

  18. Ha really?!? In what dictionary? Talking about someone?s spelling is not bullying. Criticising someone?s spelling is not bullying. She made two trivial statements, one that it was not nice (which is opinion) and one which stated that it was illegal (which was incorrect). My statement was continuing the triviality of the original post.
  19. I was trying to look for it yesterday...it sounds strange. it seems to have been coming from one of the gardens in Court Lane but i would say that for the volume of the music and DJs, surely none of the gardens are large enough to cope with such a large party. It sounded like some sort of festival (and there sounded like there were a lot of people) but i could not see anyone coming and going unless it was maybe being held in one of the Lordship Lane Gardens!?

  21. I like the Patch. Staff are friendly and the d?cor and lay out is very good and go there quite regularly. I have not tried the food, and sure it is good but the portions look tiny. I don?t mind paying high prices for food (as long as it is good) but I cannot bring myself to do so for small portions. A friend of mine had a roast. The meat was apparently good but about the size of a cigarette box whilst it came with around 5 small bowls of vegetables which I did not think looked particularly satisfying. Also try compare the size of the burgers to the Great Exhibition or Bishop. They need to have larger portions and maybe a good pizza menu!
  22. Do not use Bob Martin! I bought some for my cat, administered it, read online reviews and promptly threw my cat into the shower and washed it off him much to his discontent. The reviews seem to indicate that people have used it on their animals and have had their cats having fits and seizures with most of them dying horribly! I have no idea whetehr these are authentic or some rival company posting loads of fake reviews but I can tell you that my friend?s cat had a seizure which was horrible and died in my arms and she had been treated with Bob Martin! I took mine to the vet on Lordship lane and got some prescription ones from there and he has been fine and flea free!

Thank me later
