Regularly had stuffed lamb's hearts, liver and bacon, rabbit, rarely- condensed milk sandwiches (over the sink of course), the brown jelly from the beef dripping on toast........
Judging by the proliferation of 4x4s the green thing has passed a lot of people by. The shops are still giving out plastic bags like there is an infinite amount of oil available, people are still breeding like rabbits and I truly despair. Every year we get fined by the EU for breaching pollution levels and yet every year our population increases so there is no chance we will ever avoid the fine. If i want to travel on a train at the weekend I can guarantee that it will be replaced by a bus, or I will have to stand on the tube if I go out in the evening. No wonder London was voted the worst place to live- didn't surprise me
There is a stand-off between Syrian refugees and French police in Calais today. The Syrians are trying to get to the UK because they say the French are treating them like animals and they want to start a new life in the UK (doesn't everyone?). They are threatening to jump into the drink and some of them are on hunger strike.
Went out at 0945 and it was slightly bubbling. Came back at 1530 and it was much worse and no sign of workmen. They don't need permission to dig for this type of work so they just deal with the immediate problem- then another leak may appear so they dig again etc. so I have been reliably informed
I haven't read any of those books except a bits of a copy of Viz I bought in a 2nd hand shop for someone else. He must have crammed them in between 'Starman' (puerile lyrics) and Suffragette City
