I have no hesitation again in recommending Norwood Roofing Specialists. Guttering again blocked (surrounded by trees so to be expected) and during the recent torrential rain, water splashing down the side of my house. I left a message for David today for his next availability, he called back well within an hour and I was lucky enough that he was in the area and with me within 15 mins. That is service in itself. He quickly established the problem and sorted it. He even sorted out blockages in other guttering about which I was unaware. We then discussed improving the layout of my guttering to minimise any future blockages and instantly he wanted to do the work in case of rain over the weekend. I am incredibly surprised by the last review. I have used David and his team for several years for various roofing and guttering matters and they have been most pleasant to deal with .. in fact they go out of their way to get things sorted by coming out of hours when they say that they will and their rates are most reasonable. None of the team have ever been aggressive or unwilling to engage on any occasion. They are most professional in attitude. They have never been pushy either and have always talked through options. I first used them when another trader on this forum came to quote and stated that I needed a new roof for ?20K! David then came around to quote and was horrified by 1) the quote 2) that the trader had only given me that option. David and his team are my go to professionals and I have happily recommended them to my family and friends. I am happy for people to IM me privately if they want further information.

I highly recommend David and his team for all roofing and guttering issues. After last week's heavy rain, my guttering was completely blocked and rain splashing all down the side of the house. I have used David previously for roofing matters so called him yesterday (Sunday) to see if he could come this week to resolve the issue. In fact he called back within 5 mins and had arranged to come over within 30 mins. On a Sunday! He then unblocked the guttering, washed down my roof and checked the grids to make sure I would have no issues. He always cleans up after himself and is highly respectful of my property. We discussed redirecting my guttering as it was clear to me that the current structure was not fit for purpose. He gave me a few options and we decided on one. Again I was prepared to wait, however he then returned first thing this morning before his other job had started to get it done, despite the drizzle. I now have a great solution and this is due to David. I have no hesitation in recommending David of Norwood Roofing solutions and in fact have done so many times to family in the area. Another great recommendation for Steve at The Spin Doctor. The fan element on my Baumatic oven failed so I did my research on EDF and found his details. Steve was quick to respond with a convenient time and was very accommodating when I had to change it. Steve was punctual and clearly knew his stuff. Just wanted to recommend David O'Donnell and his team of Norwood Roofing Specialists (got his details from EDF so please check other threads). I called him to provide a quote for repairing my roof (water leaking into my bedroom). Tick 1 - he called back the same day (so many people do not even bother to return calls) and arranged to come around a time convenient for me within the next couple of days. Tick 2 - he came when he said (on a Thursday), looked at the problem and provided explanations of what had happened in layman's terms and gave a very reasonable quote. Having agreed it, he said that he could come back on the following Monday to do the work. Tick 3 - Sunday I received a call to say that weather forecasts were not looking good so he wanted to postpone 24 hours. Tick 4 - on Tuesday he and his team arrived and quickly got to work. Very professional. Provided me with explanations of what they had done and showed me pictures from their phones (subsequently these have all been emailed to me). Whilst on the roof, it became apparent that there was further work would be required to my central roof (I had only asked originally for work to be done on a side roof and above my bedroom). Again pictures were provided to show the cracks. Quote again very reasonable and work agreed to happen within a week. Tick 5 - Patrick from his team cleared a blocked gutter completely - extra work but done for free. He also advised on how a hedgehog could be used to prevent this in future. David also pointed out that 2 of my downpipes were a shade too short which had led to water spilling down my outside wall. He promised to elongate both to resolve the issue. Both pieces of work were tacked onto the 2nd visit (quote again very reasonable). Tick 6 - all work carried out now professionally and I have again been shown and been emailed pictures of what has been done to my roof. I am a happy customer, especially as payment can be done by internet banking (avoiding runs to the bank) and more importantly I have received invoices with 10 year guarantees for the work. Another recommendation for Brad and his team - they are a very professional team who deliver great results. I have used Brad on a couple of occasions now and on both occasions, he spent time understanding my requirements and talking through possibilities before sending over clear and very reasonable quotes. He and his team transformed my house - painted my hallway, kitchen and bedrooms; created new cupboards and shelving; removed my horrible double glazing units; put up curtain rails ... the list goes on. I left him and his team in my house every day and returned to a house that was tidied up with tools put away. Would definitely use Brad again - no question.

Just wanted to post a recommendation of Tom Grealish of T&T Gardening www.tandtgardening.co.uk (recommended frequently elsewhere on EDF). Both he and his father (Tom senior) have come around at different times to do an excellent job on my garden, small but gets messy easily. Rates are very reasonable and their work is superb. They truly know their stuff and are very accommodating in terms of timescales. Cannot recommend Pawel from UK Computers enough. Had a laptop that refused to power up and already had received some advice from another computer "expert" that it could not be saved, only the data retrieved. Sent an email to Pawel who answered promptly and arranged to pick up the laptop that evening but at my convenience. Returned within 2 days fully functional (on a Saturday morning, again at my convenience) and Pawel clearly described what had happened and what he had done to rectify it. Costs extremely reasonable. Just wanted to recommend Sarah Hudson-Davies as a great plumber. I was having problems with radiators and my shower/bathwater going hot and then cold and then hot. Having come around, she quickly discovered what the problem was with the radiator and got it fixed in a matter of minutes. She also went through the possible ways that the problem could have occurred - no jargon, all clearly communicated. Then went through the possible problems with the water ... did a number of tests and came up with possible reasons. She also stated what she could and could not do and gave me clear advice about to proceed. Since then, she has called up the technical helpline of my boiler company and given me further instructions. Hi Used Daniel and his team again and again very impressed. I called in the morning about a leaking toilet pipe, Daniel came around in the evening to see it and returned an hour later with the correct fitting. Everything sorted within hours of my first call. Very reasonably priced. Impressed as always as Daniel always puts the customer first. Would highly recommend.

Also would like to recommend Daniel and his brother of Dulwich Plumbing and Heating (07879 220447). They installed new shower and new kitchen tap for me efficiently and checked out the boiler. Reasonably priced and came out quickly. Would use them again.

Having read all the recommendations for Gary, I contacted him to sort out lights that had failed for some time. We arranged for him to come on Monday but then he called to ask if he could come on the prior Sunday (better for me obviously). He resolved all the lighting issues, cleared up after himself and was very thorough in his approach. Very friendly. I would have no hesitation in using him again and definitely would recommend him. One more recommendation for Andy and his team who cleared my guttering and fixed a loose gutter. Andy, Richard and Taylor obviously very professional in their attitude and did extra things for me (cleared moss attached to my glass kitchen roof, provided a clip for free) willingly. Quote very reasonable indeed. Would definitely use them again for other jobs.
