How about asking children to make a cafe at home. They could designate a space, maybe outdoors, come up with a name, a sign, a decorated menu with prices, act as waiting staff (dressing up), make a little notebook to take orders, could decide on opening hours, make hygiene posters etc etc thus could be ongoing. Say a week to set it up then run it 2 sessions a day. Maths/ literacy/drama/ science all covered.

If you want to reduce car use you must make public transport better.

My nearest excellent bus shelter has been replaced by a shiny new one without a digital timetable. First create a problem then expect praise when it?s ?solved? - a bit like Healthy Streets

Why is TfL removing the digital timetable at bus stops? it was easy to use, removed the need of getting out your phone and fiddling with glasses etc and was accessible to all.

Put them on the market at the right price and they would sell.

This would reduce coaches needed to enter Townley rd allowing parking off road in front of the school.

Yes I walked it myself about 12 mins from back of Sainsbury?s to top of greendale.

Metallic - a similar idea is offloading coaches at the sainsbury end of greendale and having a walking bus to alleyns/jags. After a long early morning drive such s walk would be welcome.

Sorry I mean use that space for the safe parking of coaches.

There is plenty of land in front of the school for safe parking. The obvious solution again ignored.

Re Eynella blockage. The natural place for cyclists on that route to cross lordship lane would be up Barry till Goodrich then crossing over to milo road. A bike crossing here would be of benefit to all. It would have the benefit of slowing traffic speeding up the lordship lane ?hill?. The route would be faster for cyclists and would therefore decongest eynella/Barry and be far more cost effective. It?s true the library gardens could be updated and made more welcoming somehow - its a big space and doesn?t need to extend into the road.
