  1. Hi Andy if you are still looking for a builder for a bathroom refit, I can recommend Steve, who recently installed a new Japanese toilet for me. I was going to get a complete bathroom refit when my dad moved in with me, after he had a stroke. If you are still looking, call Steve. He’s a lovely guy, very helpful and thoughtful. 2. Local Bepoke joiner Jake Herrera is a great joiner, he made and installed my doors on my rental property. Jake Herrera 07951 866036

  4. Steve the plumber is great, my brother recommended Steve to me. I needed a Japanese toilet installed which was complicated due to the integrated bidet system, Steve and team installed the toilet quickly and did a great job. Steve 07711 670651
  5. Hi. Monica from Healthmatters here, Just to clarify we are not anti-vaxers, I was told about this post and I needed to come on and clarify this. Whoever heard us recommending supplements over vaccinations were incorrect. Please do not spread untruths about our store and sullying our reputation. Thank you
  6. Hi the position has now been filled. Thank you for your interest.
  7. Hi We are a local independent retail store looking for part time staff, hours include weekend and weekday shifts. Experience in retail desirable, however not necessary, as training will be given. Please email your cv and covering letter to [email protected] Thank you
  8. Do you use the local shops? If you are happy for the CPZ to come into Nunhead, then that is your opinion, however the local businesses and the 65% of nunhead residents who do not want the CPZ would disagree. As per usual the armchair critics love to share their opinions and not take on board others???
  9. Chipotle will be moving into the Hisar site very soon, Hisar closed their doors yesterday much to the dismay of 2 ladies standing outside the closed restaurant.
  10. Hi, yes I just signed it. My friends live and work in Nunhead, its only going to get worse. I have spoken with customers who wanted the CPZ in East Dulwich and now are complaining of the hike in permit fee.
  11. The beauty salon on Upland Rd offer ear piercings. Cant remember what they are called. its more or less next door to Chi Chi vintage clothes shop.
  12. Barclays Bank are asking £95000 rent, plus £45000 rates per year. It would be great if there were an independent who could afford a £140000 a year before they even opened the doors.
  13. We had bikes left outside our place, on the pavement blocking pedestrians. They are a great idea, however the apps should guide the users on where to park the bikes.
  14. Wagamama is coming to East Dulwich on the old Barclays site. Workmen on the site confirmed this morning.
  15. If you are looking for a professional painter and decorator, I highly recommend Michael Rowe. Michael has undertaken all the essential works at my rental property, he also takes care of the maintenance of the property. Michael is a godsend. Michael 07718983437
  16. Next time im in Poundland, I will record my conversations with the staff, jeez, you are definitely a contender for something not very nice. Early contender for Didn't Happen Of The Year Award (EDF section).
  17. I popped and bought photo frames, I was chatting with a staff member who said they have received a lot of positive feedback from customers. However there were a few people who thought abusing the staff verbally was going to encourage pound land to close. There are many residents in ED, who are elderly, vulnerable and living on the poverty line, however the few inconsiderate and selfish people in this community just feel that East Dulwich is too gentrified for a pound land. To those privileged few, please wake and smell the oat flat white, or a cuppa, we are living in a cost of living crisis, where many many members of the community have to decide whether to heat or eat.
  18. Foxtons are moving to the retail unit where Jacksons were previously. , Peddar are moving to where Lilas were previously. Gails are taking over the old brick house. Poundland local will balance the high street, we cannot assume East Dulwich residents are all wealthy, we have many members of the community who are on a low fixed income, using foodbanks, and members of the ED community are elderly, who rely on their state pension to live on. We needed the balance, and whatever you may think of the pound shop local, I'm sure many of us have shopped in them, I have.
  19. Try Adam Swaine, I needed a professional photo for a couple of articles I wrote, Adam took some lovely photos, he is based in East Dulwich Adam 07798526569
  20. Hi, Im Monica from Healthmatters, I have not held the keys for the notice boards for the last 5 years. I am not sure who gave you the info, its incorrect. Thank you
  21. Hi, I have used Michael's painting and decorating services. Michael is a highly skilled painter and decorator, he's decorated my rental properties over the years. Highly recommended Michael 07718983437
  22. Unfortunately it is the sign of the times, branches are closing everywhere, I bank with Santander, and I have to travel Bromley. I live in Shirley, Croydon so its not too bad.
  23. Hi All Apologies I have not been on this thread recently. I have been dealing with car issues, my car broke down coming back from Belfast after Xmas, and I have been having issues with Bristol Street Motors Bromley who sold the car. I am now in the middle of a lengthy battle with Bristol street motors, which needs time and all of my wits to deal with this very dis-honest company. Unfortunately I cannot dedicate any time to this at the moment. Apologies again.
  24. Hi Nigello I haven't enquired with the charities yet, I was going to after Christmas.
  25. I had my first aid refresher course today, I spoke with the trainer who said she would put me in touch with a company who sell Defibrillators for around ?800. I will keep you updated. Ideally Defibrillators should be located everywhere. If someone were to go into cardiac arrest on lordship lane, and we had to run to the nearest Defibrillator for example Either Lloyds pharmacy on Nothcross Rd, or East Dulwich station, the time spent getting the defibrillator would decrease the cardiac patient's survival by 70% CPR alone survival is around 8%, CPR with a defibrillator survival is around 85%. We were given these statistics today on the refresher course.
