  1. Hi Nigello I haven't enquired with the charities yet, I was going to after Christmas.
  2. I had my first aid refresher course today, I spoke with the trainer who said she would put me in touch with a company who sell Defibrillators for around ?800. I will keep you updated. Ideally Defibrillators should be located everywhere. If someone were to go into cardiac arrest on lordship lane, and we had to run to the nearest Defibrillator for example Either Lloyds pharmacy on Nothcross Rd, or East Dulwich station, the time spent getting the defibrillator would decrease the cardiac patient's survival by 70% CPR alone survival is around 8%, CPR with a defibrillator survival is around 85%. We were given these statistics today on the refresher course.
  3. Hi I will set up a funding page after Xmas and hopefully get the project started. Any thoughts and ideas are welcome. Thank you
  4. Thank you for the PMs. It would be lovely if a couple of people who are interested in having the Defibrillator on Lordship lane could help set up the funding page?
  5. Thank you Jazzer and Nigello, I will contact Communityheartbeat and Londonherts. If anyone would like to help with this project, it would be much appreciated. Thank you
  6. Thank you for all of the messages regarding the Defibrillator. Can anyone help with a name for the funding page? It needs to represent what we are doing, raising funds for a Defibrillator for the Lordship Lane area. All ideas for names are welcome. Thanks
  7. Great skylorikeet. Thank you
  8. Iv just spoken with the CcOp head office who have confirmed we can place the defibrillator at the ED store, apparently they do have in-store defibrillators in other community CoOp stores. I can start a justgiving fund page, post the link on here and hopefully we can raise enough to buy the Defibrillator. A couple of the forumites who have contacts within the community are going to help purchase one. Il keep you updated. Edited due to glasses not working properly
  9. Iv tried to speak to the manager at the CoOp, however I have no luck. Is anyone around this weekend who can pop in to ask the manager? Im working and i won't have a chance to pop in till next week. Thanks
  10. CoOp would be the best option, as its located on Lordship Lane, I will ask the manager re placing the defibrillator at their store.
  11. Hi heartblock I have PMd you re suitability of Defibrillator for Lordship Lane. 12. Thank you Heartblock. Jazzer has been very helpful, I will contact Jazzer's contacts and see if they can help.
  13. Thank you Jazzer, much appreciated.
  14. iv just checked the prices for the AED Defibrillator, I think we should start a Gofundme page to raise funds for it.
  15. Thank you everyone for your replies. We need one on Lordship Lane, if the nearest one is ED station. Il look into trying to get one for the lane. Can anyone help with this? Thanks Monica
  16. Hi Does anyone know if we have a Defibrillator in ED? If yes where? If not can we apply to ge one with CGS money or local funding? James McCash can you help with this? Thank you
  17. Thank you for sharing this great film, it showcases the amazing treasures of Northcross Rd.
  18. Hi Sephiroth Thank you I have a condition called Congenital hypothyroidism, I was born with no thyroid gland. I breathe through my mouth, so if i were to wear a mask, I would pass out. I am a Nutritional therapist, MSc, BSc, and I work in the local health food shop, so I use my own supplements. 19. I have a medical exemption from my GP, issued by the NHS, which I wear at work. I have been harassed by people who were not happy with me being in their shop, shopping wearing the medical exemption. There are 2 sides to every story, and I am tired of being harassed re my medical exemption.
  20. Gorgeous painting, Have you drawn any other stores on the lane?
  21. Hi James Thank you for the reply. Im sure the shop keepers on NorthCross Rd would like to chat with you re the market and how best to address the issues around the market forward. Unfortunately the market inspectors are determined to focus all their energy into the market and not the shop keepers. We also look forward to hearing how the revenue from the fines from the village road closures will be re-invested for the community of Dulwich.
  22. Hi James Its a shame the businesses you speak of in Dulwich were not told about the meeting. So far the council have hardly done anything to support the local businesses. The non essential shops and businesses around Dulwich received a pittance of a grant, which hardly covered the rents and the overheads. Now the council want to help us help the community of Dulwich. Iv emailed Fitzroy regarding the meeting and have had no response. The shops on Northcross Rd are losing trade due to the "smart idea of turning the stalls towards the road, to ensure social distancing". No social distancing in the market today, it was crowded, where were the community wardens today? Residents are complaining re the over crowding in the market, yet the "good people at southwark council" deny over crowding is occuring. I took a video of the market today, I have sent it to all the relevant peeps and have posted it on twitter. Southwark council are reckless. Shall we continue James? Do you know how much Southwark council received in revenue for the fines imposed around the village, due to the road closures? over 2 million pounds in revenue. We applied for freedom of information re the fines, are you surprised no. Now you want to support the high street when the market inspectors are wrecking people's living. Ridiculous
  23. Parking is definitely very challenging, ever since the CPZ was implemented, its very difficult to find a parking space. I work in ED, I don't live in ED, however I commute from Shirley to ED. If the CPZ were implemented borough wide, then I dare say, many of the shopkeepers who work in ED, would have to buy a Business parking permit yearly, at ?750 a year. The selfish few who are determined to get the CPZ implemented are not seeing the bigger picture, they have forgotten about the shop workers, who are in ED from the early hours providing ED with food, essential items etc. I may have to get 3 buses to work, if the CPZ is implemented.
  24. Hi Are there any volunteers driving to Kings College Hospital today? We have 3 boxes of care packages for the well-being hub. We are a store on Lordship Lane. If anyone is available could you please call me. Thank you Monica 07540499816
