  7. Hi we were on the music truck at the end of the parade and I think Santa got his stride on and went zooming down the lane. It went really well. Thanks Dulwichmum glad you enjoyed it.The positive response from all was amazing and I am so glad to see so many turn out for the parade. We went for celebratory drinks after with my family and Friends, so good day all round And Treacle the donkey was a delight and I must confess I had a bit of a crush on Dean, Treacle's escort, very very lovely man.:)-D
  8. mmm Lol amusing, however you can get your point across without swearing, if you are going to say F*** you to someone say it and mean it, dont apologise for saying it, thats why Swearing should only ever be heard in Football games and Pubs based in Northern Ireland.>:D
  9. Hi All If you are making plans around the Christmas period, highlight the 19th December on your calenders. Santa's Christmas parade will be in Dulwich, 12pm onwards. Park Hall Road, West Dulwich will host Santa at 12pm, bring the Children along and Wish Santa a merry Christmas. Then join Santa at 3pm for the parade, he will meet you at the corner of Townley Road and Lordship Lane, where mums, dads, grandma and grandad can join in the fun. We encourage the children come along in fancy dress, Princesses, Pirates and Angels are all welcome. Santa and his helpers Hannah and Marilyn will then parade down lordship lane towards Santa,s Grotto in Zenoria Street, where you can greet Santa (The parade will also be escorted by the Local police for Safety reasons)Santa and his helpers are CRB checked This post will be constantly updated throughout November up to the 18th December( Just in case Santa is late, Lapland is quite far) Santa's parade and supporting events are sponsored by the Retailers of West and East Dulwich. Panino d'oro and Harvey Wheeler from the village. Wishing you all a peaceful Christmas/Holidays/Yule from us. Hi All just an update for the parade, due to poor weather conditions in Essex where Doris the donkey lives, they now cannot make it. We were told Today at 1pm, so we have not been able to find a replacement for the donkey, however the parade will still go ahead with alternative mode of transport for Santa. So to the Children, mummies, daddies Grandads and Grandmas, we hope to see you from 230pm onwards at the Townley Road/Lordship Lane Junction. We are going to have a warm up with dancing before the parade starts, so please wear comfy warm dancing shoes Apologies about Doris but Unfortunately Mother Nature had other plans, if you have any questions, I am the one wearing the Snow White outfit and my dear friend Hannah will be dressed as an Angel. Well another further update, we have found another Donkey called treacle, so events will still go ahead with Treacle the donkey.

  20. Hi Thanks Karter I have added the information in re West Dulwich on my most recent post.
  21. Currently reading Saturday Night Peter by the god of comedy Peter Kay. The first one was great the Sound of Laughter, could not stop laughing, and the sequel is as good. The thinking woman's crumpet, oh yes, I love a man who can make me laugh.
  22. Santa's Christmas parade will be in Dulwich, 12pm onwards. Park Hall Road, West Dulwich will host Santa on his sledge at 12pm, bring the Children along and Wish Santa a merry Christmas. Then see Santa with his helpers in Dulwich Village saying hi to the Children at Panino D' Oro at 1.45 pm til 2.15 pm The route of the parade will start at the corner of Townley Road and Lordship lane, where the parade will congregate from 230pm until 3pm, when the parade will then head down lordship lane towards the goosegreen roundabout. This should take about 35 -40 mins, we are all required to sing carols from the songsheets provided. We will also have lanterns made from candles and jam jars. Plus I recommend your children have torches with them, its now getting dark around 3.45 so the more light the better. We will arrive at the grotto in Zenoria street where Santa will sit in the grotto and Doris the donkey will stand by him and you can take pictures of your children with Santa and Doris the donkey, this will go on until 5.15pm. Doris needs to leave, and Santa will stay on til 6pm.
  23. Hi Intexasathe, Living South dont have the route, SE22 do. The actual parade starts at the corner of Townley Road, Lordship Lane at 3pm. Do you want your mother to join the parade? If so their will be escorts on the day who can help your mother.
  24. Hi All Just an update on the parade, please obviously wrap up warm because the weather is going to be chilly, and bring an umbrella. We would also like the parents participating in the parade to bring empty jam jars, we would like to light the parade with candles, so any spare jam jars will be great, we will provide the tea lights/candles. The parade will also have a cordon around it for the children and parents to keep within and hold on to. The escorting officers will also be holding the cordon and directing the traffic around the parade. If you are travelling in to East Dulwich for the parade, please come by public transport. I have notified the AA of the parade, so hopefully motorists who are visiting the Area, should have fair warning. And Finally I hope you enjoy the experience, I will be on parade duty with my fellow Angel Hannah singing and wishing you all a Very Merry Christmas.
