how will I identify her tomorrow morning - if it is the same one! (9am in Dulwich Park)

Will get on and check the Visa as well. Don't know how they cloned the card - got told they had used a card to withdraw cash in Germany!! Only ever seem to use it in Sainsburys or Somerfield so completely baffled how they managed it. On another side to this, when I spoke to FD last night they put me on hold to go through to their Fraud Dept and ended up talking to someone in India. Found this out when I started asking questions that she didn't have answers too and got told 'Madam if you listen to me I am telling you the information'!! My response "but the information is not related to my question" (6)

How typical is that. I am the last one to post and last night my card was declined in Sainsburys. Phoned First Direct to be told that I am actually having a holiday in Germany this week!! Cards now stopped and no cash for 7 days - quiet weekend for me then:'(

This course is over 9 weeks and they run it twice a year - think next one is October. It's aimed at real beginners or people coming back to running after injury etc. Start and finish with stretches and given 'homework' each week i.e. you go out running twice during the week for a specified time.

Joined the runners club last Saturday - just interested to find out if anyone on the Forum was part of the group

Wish I had so I could tell him what a pratt he is!

A young guy tried to get in front of the number 37 but his car came off the worse and went into the roundabout. No-one was injured, thankfully. Was on my way to the gym and the driver was talking to the police and his passenger was looking embarassed at all the people stopping to have a look

Someone took ?1,500 out on my cards - Eurostar to Paris, trip on the London Eye for 4, shopping spree in Mango all within 48 hours. Fortunatly I was living in Alaska at the time and FirstDirect knew this, so when I called in a panic they were really helpful and I was fully refunded within a week

it's true what they say about us but if you are going to spend your hard earned pennies then it might as well be on something you are going to enjoy>:D

Excellent every time I have ordered from there (must be over a dozen times now) Always say 45 mins for delivery but are there within 30mins. Friendly delivery guys and the food has always been piping hot and v.v. good (fish curry, veg samosas and plain naan, mmmm - want to order it now) Once you have phoned once they keep all your details so know who is calling etc.:))

Brendan you have just made me laugh - thank you for cheering up an otherwise long, boring Friday afternoon clockwatching>:D

Flower deliveries (outside John Allen flower shop)
scotslass replied to scotslass's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
friendly and helpful are not two words I would associate with Mr Allen - refuse to buy flowers from there due to his attitude -
Has anyone else noticed that every Tuesday night a v. large delivery lorry parks right outside John Allen flower shop (Goose Green) - the front of the lorry is right up against the zebra crossing which means that drivers coming down LL cannot see anyone on the crossing and pedestrians have to edge round the front to make sure the don't get run over. I thought it was illegal at all times to park on crossings, but saw a police car slow down and look at the lorry last night and then drove on. (

I thought that he had moved on somewhere else, but then he re-appeared at the end of last week. Can almost guarantee that when I get off my bus he appears between the bus stop and Grove Vale library

Cycle Access from Copleston/Oglander Roads to Grove Vale
scotslass replied to ed_pete's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
the cyclists use the pavement here anyway!! and seem to think that the one way system on Copleston is exempt to them -

I did and it wasn't a lot - but with his inflated prices, I wasn't adding to his profits:))

Had an interesting experience in Green Cuisine. Handed over my money and the girl behind the counter had trouble putting the correct info into the computer so the till wouldn't open. After 5 minutes and a queue forming behind, she put my purchase in a bag, handed it over and said goodbye. When I asked for my change, she said "do you really want it"!!

Ginger tabby cat on Ryedale - who's is it?!!
scotslass replied to seanmlow's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Might be too far away but there are some posters up around Ondine/Ogalander/Adys for a missing ginger cat (called Blaize I think). -
Responible dog owners do pick up after their dog :) Over the past couple of months while out walking my dog I have had to dodge the dog shit on the pavements around Grove Vale, Ondine, Oglander. There are a lot of teenagers around with with 'staffs' off the lead and letting their dogs do what they want. I'm usually so concerned about their dog barking at us to ask them to pick up their dog's mess

Don't know what SNT is? Not been using the forum long:-$

He seemed harmless last week but not so much last night

This started about last Thursday when a young black guy approached me as I got off the bus at Grove Vale library (opposite ED station). Kept saying sorry but walking into me and when I stopped he asked for money. Said I didn't have any and walked on. Last night the same thing happened but noticed that he had obviously been beaten up at the weekend! He is quite persistent and only seems to be approaching females. I get off the bus at 5pm. I went to Sainsburys about 6pm and he wasn't there but when I came back down he approached me again. Just wanted to let everyone know so that you are on your guard.

Junction of East Dulwich Road, Peckam Rye is hell!!!
scotslass replied to jocelyn's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I know what you mean - I have taken to turning left and then going around the little green by the Rye Hotel and coming back up. I know it is longer but it is safer;-)
