  1. Hello all many thanks for your help and suggestions, the Croydon sighting was in fact just the last signal from his phone only, so it leaves a lot of possibilities. Please please if you can share the story on facebook and twitter and keep an eye out for him, there's over a hundred people working on getting him home safe xx
  2. Hi all Please read and share this article and help us find a much loved and missed Crystal Palace community activist, Robbie left home on Monday and there has been no word from him since, his Wife and young Son are distraught and his many friends have been literally working around the clock producing and delivering posters and flyers to the public. Robbie was one of the campaigners for the Carnegie Library in Lambeth and during his time inside there he became unwell, sadly this has continued since and we now worry that everything has become too much for him, please share share share, far and wide. Thanking you in anticipation of your kindness and help. http://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/c ... 72796.html

  7. Anyone interested in coming along to our first meeting for the community pub we are hoping to start in South Norwood? Please read on. You probably already know there are loads of different people in SN that are passionate about regeneration (it's much needed after all!) and a group of us have got together after being inspired by the Ivy House in Nunhead - the UK's first fully community owned pub - in to wanting to create our own. We've been working with the council to identify suitable locations, and this Friday evening we get together to have our first meeting to talk about the project, our up coming meeting with the Ivy House to understand how they did it, and to chat about other things like grant funding, crowd funding and charity registration. Obviously for us to get the project off the ground we need people power - and we would like to open the invite to anyone that is interested in getting involved, whether that's in a big way or a smaller way. We've set up a website to help gather interest : www.SouthNorwoodCommunityPub.co.uk Please feel free to take a look and get in touch via the site if you'd like to join our community pub mission, and feel free to send the link on to anyone you think might be interested too. We'll be meeting on Friday at 7.30pm at Yeha Noha. Hope to see you there smile emoticon Hannah

Sorry but this is not true, we had a cat called Brenda. Spent the whole 18 years of her life being furious...about something, we're still not sure what, any hoooow she sorted out a few fair rats over her lifetime, and pigeons, the odd crow too! She refused to be ill. and we are sure one night just said to herself...Bugger Bognor!!!!! And died on the floor at the base of our book shelves!! (she took to sitting up there away from the other more stupid cats) Still bloody miss her!!
  18. Why don't you move them to a room where they can stay over the winter, they are good insects after all, helping to get rid of greenfly in the garden, maybe move them to the shed? I know it is irrational but if they were spiders I woul squish them, or get Hubby or eldest Son to remove them, (but that usually involves chasing me round the house pretending to throw said spider at me, and/or falling to their knees and screaming NO...NO..AAAAARGH! IT'S GOT ME!!!!) Wearing a bit thin now guys, after 24 years of it FFS!
  19. If you have a hankering for Halloween bring the little ones along tomorrow, there will be all sorts of fun activities during the day in and around the museum, and we will be there to paint the faces of all those who dare to come and see us at the food market, just listen for the sound of my vintage music being played on my wind up gramophones, might even have a couple of scary tunes too!!! If you are good us Aunties will let you have a lollipop, if you are still looking for a halloween outfit for the little ones we will have some surplus ones from our dressing up box going really cheap (all as good as new and laundered. Do come along and see how scary we are, or try and scare us!!!!! The Aunties

  22. There is a new shop opened on Anerly Hill, where the Sweet Boutique shop was. I know it isn't Dulwich but it is the only one I can think of. I would probably be able to pop up there and get contact details for you if you like, it is just five minutes from me.
  23. If you do find them they are likely to be chewed up, foxes love shoes, footie boots etc. We have (or rather my son has) lost the odd one or two over the years, they are as bad as teething puppies!
  24. 'Doffs cap to Mrs TP' I do hope you are successful, in fact I went back today with youngest Son and it was the same people as far as I can recall, couple of different ones though, second hand furniture etc. there is a lot of unused space on one side of the road it seems, or is that just me? Please do keep us updated!! ;-)
  25. I loved your photo's and if I wasn't surrounded by my Husband and youngest Son's work would probably have bought one! Just as a matter of interest I phoned the council this Monday to find out what the situation is with Northcross Road as I will be hoping to showcase my work in the spring, and spoke briefly to a young man who said they are really trying to push Fridays at the moment, interesting.....Don't get me wrong the people I spoke to at Northcross were very friendly and open but I really was surprised at the things on sale. As an aside the three guys busking, that was a nice touch, you should go back!!
