  1. Hi all, A friend of mine is doing some commissioned paintings of people, pets and still life...she also really likes to paint cows :-) She really is a great artist and her paintings are a lot of fun. If you're interested check out... http://www.loveitpaintit.com/
  2. I'm looking to buy some new wooden french doors for our kitchen. I am looking for good quality doors with a modern look but I need them ASAP! Any recommendation where to buy doors that could provide them quickly? thanks!

  5. Hi - we are looking for someone to assist us with getting ideas for our small outdoor garden in East Dulwich (front and back). The work will most likely require paving and fencing. If you have availability in the near future and are able to come by and give us a quote then please get in touch. Many thanks
  6. We live On pellatt Road. Had no idea About sewer. Applied for side return and kitchen extension and got full approval but pulled out last minute for other reasons. Architects and builders had no concerns. No mention of problem with sewer. No issues with sewage water or surface leaks or subsidence either. Hope that helps, feel free to contact me if you need more info.
  7. OUr outside drain is blocked and keeps flooding - need someone to unblock it asap. Please contact me if you are available and can provide a reasonable quote. thank you
  8. Bus diversions, ambulances, and plenty of police... Seems pretty serious - anyone know what's happening?
  9. Thanks for the heads up. A couple of weeks back, a group of the same description (3 men/ 2 scooters) attempted to steal my husbands' motorbike in the middle of the night (they had no chance as it was triple locked, but they did manage to do some damage trying to get one lock off - not the cleverest bunch!). Anyway, he heard them and managed to scare them off. Steering lock is a good tip - will look into it.
  10. Hi - we have just finished our dormer and this room as well as our current loft bedroom needs painting this month. The builders have left it very nicely finished and plastered and there is almost no furniture nor carpets so it should be a very straight forward job. Get in touch if you are interested. Thanks, Pauline
  11. Hi everyone, I just wanted to highly recommend Dave Orton on this forum after the work he did on our dormer extension. I contact various loft companies and found many to be vastly overpriced, and some downright rude and unprofessional. Dave was recommended to me by 2 friends in East dulwich. He has been doing loft conversions for over twenty years so he is very experienced. It's only him and his colleague phil doing the main work so you know who you are dealing with from the start. He told me the work would take 3-4 weeks and completed in time. He was tidy, considerate, and punctual. He also offered a very competitive rate. To contact him call 07973730221, or e-mail [email protected].
  12. It's a small job but we need to remove and replace our old outhouse door in order to fit in our dryer. We live in SE 22, please get in touch if you are available in near future. Thank you
  13. Hi, We have a howdens kitchen which is roughly 5 years old and we would like someone to make a built in seated dinning bench with storage to match the kitchen. Please get in touch if you have carpentry experience making and fitting kitchen benches. Many thanks.
  14. ... with kids aged 2,4,6,12,& 14? The two teenage kids are coming to visit London and would clearly like to do some fun stuff (we have arranged for them to see a show and a football match), but we would still like to do some things including our younger children. Any recommendations of how to keep everyone happy? Or good places for lunch? Many thanks!
  15. Not sure when or where - just discovered it missing when emptying car boot where it is usually kept! It has no real identifying features (stupid I know) hence I appreciate this is REALLY long shot! But if you have found one in the last few days/weeks, could you please let me know. I can send you a picture of my child on it as proof of scooter ownership!! http://www.micro-scooters.co.uk/maxi-micro-t-bar-scooter-orange-1.html?utm_source=google_shopping&gclid=CMX1jJSPjcgCFQfgGwod2nsA2g Thanks!
  16. Hi - we are also thinking of using them...anymore feedback? Did you go with them SEnewbie and WillyH? Veronesi - would you mind also sending me the pm? Thanks!
  17. Hi all, We are soon starting our house renovations in SE22 (side extension / kitchen)and we are in the process of finding the right builder. We have spoken to guys from Martinsbuilders (http://www.martinsbuilders.com/) and SpaceConversion (http://www.spaceconversion.uk/) - does anyone have any feedback on these builders? Or do you have any other builders you could highly recommend that we should speak to. Appreciate your opinions! Many thanks.
  18. Thanks for your tips everyone. I think we may hold off the building work until spring next year. No real need to rush, and the thought of going through all this in freezing temperatures is just too much to bear! Furthermore the summer holiday could bring some relief as mentioned in your posts! I think we'll just try to go for it, but have a plan B in mind in case it becomes unbearable. So thank you for your input!
  19. Hello, We are looking to do rather extensive renovations (side extension/ garden / loft conversion...) to our house starting in September /October. The work should take roughly 6 months. To save costs we are looking to stay living in the home (family with 3 young children). They will put a temporary kitchen in the living room and we have enough rooms where we could sleep. Is this a terrible idea? Does anyone have any experience / suggestions regarding living in what is essentially a building site ( especially with kids)? Also - does anyone know of any good last minute short term lets we could use in case living here becomes unbearable? Air BnB was an idea, but still rather expensive. Your input would be most appreciate! Many thanks
  20. Hi all, I know there have been quite a few threads on this in the past, but I am having a hard time finding a good and available loft company or individual to do some work for us. We already have a loft extension, we just need the rear dormer added which should be a small quick job! We have architect plans, and a permitted dev certificate. Hence if anyone is available to do this work in the next few weeks or could provide me with recommendations - please could you get in touch? Many thanks!
  21. My son is turning 4 and we would like to take him to a swimming pool (preferably with slides and waves) for his birthday. He has a 5 1/2 year old sister and a 2 year old brother. We are struggling to find a pool where my husband and I can take them (most pools require 1 adult per child at this age) any suggestions? Thank you !!
  22. Does anyone know if this is on this mornings 9.45=11.45? thanks
  23. To the nice lady who returned my lost brown leather wallet to my front door this evening... Please get in touch. Many thanks
  24. Hi everyone, There have been a few threads on Blossoms so sorry for starting a new one! However, I would like to let you know that some spaces have come available for the next term starting in september for a 3 year old child. My son and a friend of his are sadly leaving blossoms after this term to join their siblings in a local school. They have both been at Blossoms for the last year and a half and we really couldn't be any happier. The staff are very kind, the school is very warm and welcoming, the activities are well thought out, and they have both really enjoyed their time there. If you are interested in sending your child there please contact Julie at: [email protected], or call her on 07801947404. Many thanks.
  25. Hi - we just need our small garden weeded and pruned to look tidy before selling. It's not a very big job but needs to be done before the weekend. If you are available please send me a pm. thanks!
