What is the best greasy spoon in the area?
ryelane replied to Bumblepuppy's topic in Request a Tradesperson
If you're happen to broaden your radius try the Electric Cafe in Tulse Hill or Regency in Victoria. Or if those are too far the Crossroads on Bellenden. -
I used Mason and Green for an early morning airport run the other day, was very impressed by the service.

Any advice on how to hang a bicycle on plasterboard wall. Help please!
ryelane replied to Tea's topic in The Lounge
Give Cycloc a try. As others have said, find a stud to mount it to, otherwise you can mount it to another panel of wood mounted to the wall which will spread the load more. -

Vegan-friendly restaurant in Camberwell?
ryelane replied to radnrach's topic in Request a Tradesperson
RE: Silk Road - definitely not the case! There won't be stocks / meat used in the majority of veg dishes.. e.g. home style cabbage, aubergine, cucumber, shredded potato, xinjiang salad, mixed veg noodles etc. See their home style cabbage recipe which was posted officially in the Guardian.. -
Hi Does anyone have any recommendations for a firm to install a new iron side alley gate ? Thanks in advance

Lots of the vegetarian dishes at Silk Road will probably be vegan, although not advertised -

Recommendation for Home Cert Ltd electrician
ryelane replied to tls21's topic in Request a Tradesperson
Another recommendation to add for Home Cert. They sent a friendly engineer who was even able to come on a weekend. Jobs were all completed on time and same price as estimated. -
Thanks everyone

Recommendation: Site investigation / Trial pits
ryelane replied to AWoll's topic in Request a Tradesperson
i'd recommend Stephen who did this for us [email protected] -
you'll need a design of what you want to create - an architect will do this you will need a structural engineer to assess whether the walls you want to knock down are load bearing, and to design possible beams to be installed then you'll need a builder to do the actual work. if installing steel beams is involved you'll need a specialist firm. you'll also need building control approval of the engineer's plans, as well as inspections during the work.

was posting this more to highlight how they were planning to clear all the business along blenheim grove, not just at the front of the station. but as you say that plan seems to have been (temporarily) defeated! i agree the space in front of the station isn't used to its full ability. hopefully a rebuild of it won't bring in costa coffee...
