  1. There was a previous thread on this which I used when looking for a plaice for some visiting relatives. Should you still be looking, they stayed at the InnKeeper's Lodge @ the Crown & Greyhound pub in the centre of Dulwich Village. They were there on Tuesday night and thought it was lovely (attached a link) www.innkeeperslodge.com/crown-and-greyhound.
  2. I would also give a vote to Kennedys Steatham though only used a couple of times. We usually go to Ken's Fish Bar in Half-Moon Lane (N.Dulwich end) and surprised to see only 1 other rec for this. There's good portions and brother travels over from W.Dulwich to collect.
  3. I previously used the track as part of a schools games activity, however disppointingly, didn't seen anyting for adult men there.
  4. I've have an acting profile, largely based on local amdram. I'm interested, but it would be useful to know a synopsis of the film, how much script there is and if role is best suited to M/F and if age is "open" etc.
  5. I'd be interested in this for another week, but these events are usually commercially run but havent seen prices mentioned here, so will check the web-site.
  6. I wanted to go along (a bit last minute) on Wednesday but had to give up when I couldn't see the entrance, being then dark and had to be mindful of other traffic. Looking on google, I see there was an earlier message indicating the entrance was via the Peckham Town FC which I'd passed. To help others find it, please mention this in future posts etc.
  7. I believe they're opening another bar in Sydenham. I was at their last karaoke night two weeks ago and it was know that they were moving (I get some f/bk updates from DJ).
  8. It you're still looking (and prepared to travel) I've found the Copy Shop in W.Norwood (Knights Hill Sq.) quite good and v. reasonable. Found previously in yellow pages/directory etc.
  9. Would also recommend Ken's fish bar for good take-away. For a restaurant/eat in place could try "Olleys" in Norwood Rd opps Brockwell Park. Still in the Herne Hill area and has got some accolade/s for London fish'n Chips listings.
  10. I know DJ/Singer Jason Prince who headlined their opening event. Keen to support I phoned the bar and was told he'd be on around 10/10.30 pm. Think I turned up around 10.40, didn't get the advertised "free drink",but got a slightly surly service after I asked about the two different ciders on offer and then found out JP wasn't coming on till after midnight. Yes, think it is now gay/gay friendly, but may be the service is just as bad as when it was a "straight bar" (having read previous posts on the venue).
  11. Abigail, have acknowledged your recent reply and deleted original message.
  12. I can't really help with artistic design, but I have operated a couple of websites for digital marketing. You can use a basic downloadable template and add your own text and links etc (you do need a bit of know-how for this) When choosing a website address (url) you can decide yourself if you want to be ".com, co.uk" etc. This isn't expensive and other costs are for onine hosting (this varies). You will normally be able to update your site via your email account and pwd or have designer admin do it for you. I could give further help at a fair/nominal rate, esp as currently looking for work. Drop me a pm if interested..
  13. Any reason I haven't received a reply to my PM enquiry sent several days ago?
  14. I also saw the band and came along especially, as a fan of rock n'roll music. If Chris is local, then that's a bonus..
