  1. Hi ladies, I haven't made it to the gardens as seem to always have appointments on a Tuesday, but hope to make it soon! Sophie, my mother in law got me a mama scarf and I find it quite handy. I only really use it if I feel particularly self conscious though; generally if I am somewhere fairly baby friendly and/or with friends then I find it easiest not to bother with a cover up. I may just be brazen though!
  2. Hi all, Sion William Dennis (Sion pronounced like Sean or Shaun for anyone not familiar with the Welsh spelling) was born on 24th March, one and a half weeks early due to my pre-eclampsia. I was admitted to hospital quite suddenly and induced - all a bit of a whirlwind! He was already 7 lbs so quite glad he arrived early as he might have been quite hefty had he stayed in til his due date or beyond! We are both fine and hoping to make it to a meet up soon. Congratulations to all the other new mums! Rhian
  3. Hi ladies, 20th sounds good for the Plough. Did we say 11am ish, or did I imagine that? Hope everyone is keeping well; so excited about all the new arrivals! Rhi
  4. Hi ladies and bumps, EDT is confirmed for 7.30pm under Rhian Dennis. In case your other half is interested (or perhaps you are?) I checked and they will be showing the England v Holland friendly match, but the screens won't be directly visible form our area. Hopefully this will provide a good compromise - they won't be distracted by the match, but can pop and watch from time to time if they are keen. Looking forward to seeing you later, Rhi x
  5. Hi guys, I have reserved an area in the EDT - http://www.eastdulwichtavern.com/ from 7.30pm on the 29th, under the name Rhian Dennis. Looking forward to seeing you! Rebecca; massive congratulations! We finally have a move date confirmed for our new house in Forest Hill, and will be moving on the 3rd, so I won't make breakfast that day, but it is good to see that plenty of meet ups are going in the diary! Rhian x
  6. Hi, New members of the Spring Babies group are always welcome - please do come along on the 29th Hannah and Cocoviolet! x
  7. Right then ladies, it looks like 29th makes the most sense for another evening get together. 7.30pm in the East Dulwich Tavern (EDT) http://www.eastdulwichtavern.com/ Emmy, Emma, Jo (jj55) and Jo (Missjojo), I have noted your enthusiasm! Are a few more people up for it too? What is the verdict on other halves coming along? Rhian x
  8. Gutted to be missing the 18th, but hope to catch up at the next meet up. If people are up for doing an evening thing in a pub (with partners?), how about the East Dulwich Tavern? I think the EDT allow you to reserve areas, so we could see if we can get part or all of their back room (to the right of the bar, has the loos leading off it). I'd be happy to co-ordinate. How about 7.30pm, on the evening of Monday the 27th Feb or Wednesday the 29th Feb? If enough people are interested I'll give the EDT a call. Nikki, I won't make the 6th, but should be free for the following Tuesday 13th, and will make my way to the Plough! What time do you think would be good to meet? Rhian x
  9. I think a regular weekly day and time sounds like a great idea Nikki! I can't see a problem with any of those days. I am on leave from the 12th March, so will start coming along from then, and then once the little fella comes along I can start bringing him too! Rhian x
  10. Last night was great, thanks Jess! Was there really another group in the pub?? Where were they hiding?! Can't make 18th unfortunately, but hope to make the next one. x
  11. Hi ladies, Looking forward to later! If people are still up for some name-badge action I will see if I can get some stickers. I think a meet up with Dads-to-be too is a good idea - they may just talk about football instead of pregnancy or fatherhood, but as far as I can see that is the only way they can bond. Rhian
  12. Hi, I hadn't picked up on the 1st Feb get together - I would be keen to come along. Have the time and place been agreed yet? I completely agree that name badges are a good idea - my memory is worse than usual and that might help! I can get some stickers, if everyone thinks it is a good plan? See you next week I hope! Rhian
  13. Hi ladies, It was lovely to meet up this morning. Thank you Emma for organising a great breakfast get-together! And thanks to Melissa for my lift home :-) x
  14. Hi Emma, Just to confirm I will definitely be coming for breakfast. Really looking forward to meeting up! Rhian
  15. Hi ladies, My baby boy (our first) is due on 3rd April and I have only just discovered the group; I hope I can still join? I'd love to come along on the 22nd and meet some other local mums-to-be. From Rhian (PS astounded to hear that there is already a Rhian in the group - not the commonest name in South London!)
