  1. Congratulations! Best join ?East Dulwich Mums? group on Facebook. Frequent posts on there re nurseries in local area.
  2. We?re the Third Camberwell Scout Group, based at the Scout Hut on Bellenden Road. We have some great volunteering opportunities coming up for you to get involved in supporting our local young people. You don?t have to have had previous experience in Scouting or Guiding, but if you were involved growing up you?ll know how much fun it can be. We?re an active, friendly and inclusive Scout Group with a Beavers, Cubs and Scouts section. **Cubs Leaders** ? our brilliant Cubs leaders are retiring so we?re reaching out to the local community for new volunteers to run our Cubs section. Are you someone: ? Who enjoys interacting with young people? ? Who would be great at organising skill-boosting activities and adventures? ? Who has plenty of energy and enjoys playing games? ? Who's patient and caring? There?s lots more information about being a Cubs leader on Scouts.org.uk. The commitment can be flexible. Our Cubs currently meet every Tuesday night 6.30pm-8pm at the Scout Hut. **Admin Volunteer** - if behind the scenes is more your thing, and you?ve got roughly an hour free a week we?d love help with some of our admin tasks eg managing the wait list and drafting content for our newsletter. We have a great online system which makes many of these tasks much easier. If you?re interested in finding out more about volunteering with us then please get in touch by emailing [email protected] DBS checks would be required for all volunteer roles. We welcome all genders, races and backgrounds Tracey Coleman Group Secretary, Third Camberwell Scout Group
  3. We?ve recently had Steve/Sundial and his team back to do some more work for us, this time replacing old single glazed sashes with new Double glazed units. This is the second time in last few years we?ve engaged Steve and just as happy this time. Key things for me is totally trust Steve is not going to recommend work that doesn?t need doing, very competitive on price, his team of guys are friendly tidy and respectful and Steve genuinely wants his customers to be happy with the end result. I?d totally recommend giving him a call if looking for restoration or replacement of sash windows.

  5. Also recommend Saied who recently advised us on planting for some tricky areas in our garden. He managed to source some fantastic, well established climbers, miniature trees and shrubs and plant it all for us. He is very personable, organised, tidy and knowledgeable and genuinely happy to pass on tips and advice. Would have no hesitation in having Saied back to do more work for us.
  6. Just another recommendation for South London Fencing. Replaced 10m fence recently in our garden and very happy with whole process. Thanks
  7. I?d also really recommend Andy the handyman. Been back to do another job for us. Decent, honest and friendly bloke who takes pride in his work. Very happy with the job he?s done for us.
  8. Hi James I am in your GG ward but fall within the proposed Peckham West parking zone. You kindly emailed me back, sharing the PW consultation raw data for question 10 on times of operation. The questionnaire gave four choices: - All day (for example 8.30am to 6.30pm) - Part day (for example 10am to 2pm) - Two hours during the day (e.g 11am to 1pm) - Other (please specify) I?m confused by the conclusion drawn by the Council and disappointed that the complete data has not been publicly shared so have cut and pasted your email below: ************** The breakdown of responses is as follows: - All day: 34% - 12-2pm: 29% - Part of the day: 13% - Other: 17% - Did not answer: 7% Of those who answered ?Other?, there was a mixture of responses including - We do not want the parking zone - None at all - All day - Two hours or part day ************* My questions are: 1) Why have the combined responses for ?part day? and ?Two hours during the day? not been considered (as the Council did for the Denmark Hill CPZ!) and therefore a conclusion drawn that PW majority support ?less than full day?? 2) Is [email protected] or [email protected] the correct person to direct emails to if want to challenge Council?s conclusion that majority support ?all day? Peckham West controls? Assume best to provide full name and address on any emails we send? 3) I see the previous Denmark Hill CPZ Report included the raw data with the recommendations. Please could you provide some rationale for the raw data having not been provided this time for both the ED and PW Reports? Thank you
  9. Rahrahrah this has already happened. The introduction of the Denmark Hill parking zone in January 2019 has put unbearable pressure on the parking on my street near ED station (in Peckham West zone). If the Denmark Hill zone had not been implemented we wouldn?t I don?t think be having this consultation process now. I do agree with your comments.
  10. Is there a councillor for Peckham West on here who could share the fuller results for question 10 on times of operation? The summary document only uses the results for ?all day? and ?2 hour? slot to back up proposal for all day restrictions. I?d like to know the percentage responses for ?part day? and ?other? to be clear on whether the data really points to an ?all day? versus ?less than all day? majority. Thank you.
  11. We?ve just had a great experience with Steve and his team at Sundial windows. From initial interaction and quote, to scheduling in the job, to carrying out the work, to the finished windows. I?ve never actually met a tradesman so proactively good at keeping in touch re when can schedule in work and confirming timelines. We are delighted with our windows and couldn?t recommend the team highly enough.

  13. I?ve just had Paul from Kent Mouldings install plaster coving and ceiling rose to our reception room and he?s done a truly fantastic job. We got three quotes and he was the cheapest. He?s a lovely guy, very professional and very neat and tidy. I couldn?t recommend him highly enough if your looking for plaster cornice / coving. http://www.kentmouldings.co.uk/ Tel: 0798 4023 723
  14. Another great recommendation for Patryk. He?s recently completed the rebuild of our front wall. He fitted us in between bigger jobs and was very well priced. All the guys that work for him seem great too. A really good quality job, very clean and tidy. He?s the sort of guy that I think cares about doing a good job because he?s got a genuine pride in his work. An honest good guy.
  15. Hi Lucy We would definitely be interested for our 4 year old who starts school in September (so midweek school hours wouldn't be good for us). He's got quite a bit of mandarin vocab (from living previously in Singapore), which we're trying to maintain. Would be keen to keep in touch with you about your playgroup idea. Thanks
