  1. Animal? Vegetable? Or mineral?

Yeah, fair point. "It's a shit business". She chose her primetime ratings side when she went on Doctor Who though. Perhaps ITV took it personally..?
  4. Just noticed you're selling DVDs mainly.. Prices vary a bit more for DVDs.. can be a bit more than CDs, but don't put the deposit down on the Lambo just yet.
  5. I fed a load into the system last week, just to see. You download the app to your phone - then you use your phone to scan the barcodes on each CD and a price pops up. Which is lightly entertaining espcecially as prices do vary.. from 15p up to ?4 in my case. But overall I think you should expect about 30-40p per CD. That's all they're worth. They do DVDs as well. The only caveat is all the packaging and artwork has to be there - and if they receive the stuff and it's not good enough, scratched or has missing bits, you might get nothing for those - and I don't think they return them. System works well. You can opt to donate the cash to charidee instead if you want and still get that warm feeling. I ripped mine to Apple lossless first anyway.
  6. So Lauren did a cover of somebody else's cover - and the other person who did the original (well, you know) cover feels wronged?
  7. Well apart from Andrea, the immediate obvious fave ('Earth Song', not accidentally the last song of the night) The other one with proper potential.. Lauren, I think - though there's a household question over whether she can dance.
  8. The quality of the backing tracks and arrangements seems to have had a considerable boost this year.
  9. It's only a sketch at the moment, but I think I might have come up with a workable solution. http://eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/file.php?5,file=153800

Anyway, I'm enjoying the law of diminishing returns in evidence on your 'aircraft noise' threads though. You've certain beaten any potential interest out of most of our 30,000 readers on this one. Good effort! The next thread could well just be you talking to yourself. IF YOU CAN HEAR YOURSELF OVER THE PLAAAANE NOOOOOOOISE.
  11. Let's not forget Fazer's wise words on the Dulwich Estate thread: 'the market will decide'* Oh yeah.. *except when it comes to planes flying over my house So a massive hypocrite - as well as a mentalist.
  12. I'm a little teapot, short and stout Here's my handle, here's my spout When I get all steamed up, hear me shout Tip me over and pour me out The lyrics may seem simple; child-like even. But just think.. if everybody was a little teapot - there wouldn't be so much damn hurtin' in the world.

  14. 'Imagine' often tops 'best song ever' and 'worst song ever' polls at the same time, so I think it depends which camp you're in.
  15. Decent selection of food. Lots of people. If I could offer a small piece of advice: someone should let the girls with the portable wheely-amplifier know: 'the sound comes out of the front'.

It may be cheap, but it ought to do the trick. Nothing says 'vote for me' quite like someone stuffing a fat roll of fifties into your top pocket.
  17. I think I can be of small help here. Pibe looks like Yotam Ottolenghi when he's wearing glasses, only thinner. Strafer: think Radovan Karadzic only with a kind face - and less war crimes. Otta looks a lot like Keef, only with less hair.
  18. dow worroi, oi ay gunna shewtcha
  19. ha ha! But of course they were. Historical research clearly shows that Brummie accents back then were a mixture of home counties, Liverpool, and generic 'the north'. Utter nonsense.
  20. That is dreadful. I think though, on balance, I prefer Cheadle's Oceans's effort - because it sounds like he really really wanted to be convincing but no-one on set had the guts to break the news to him. It doesn't sound like this Charlie bloke even cares!
  21. When I don't drink (which admittedly isn't particularly often) I have loads of energy in the evening and find it hard to sit still. I'll be up and down like a whore's drawers, pottering about and doing all the little things I can't be arsed to do when mildly sedated. So I'd just forget the fizzy pop - and just get a load of stuff done.
  22. I know everyone thought it was great. I just found it a bit lame, in a 'is this the best on offer?' kinda way.
  23. I agree, "He certainly put a lot of effort in it". I'm just not convinced video editing in itself is all that funny.
  24. You're right. Forgive me. IT WAS INCREDIBLE, ORIGINAL AND BRILLIANT!!!!!!!
