  1. Brockwell Park Surgery in Herne Hill has two vacancies - part time receptionist - operations manager We would love to hear from any interested candidates. Details can be found here: https://beta.jobs.nhs.uk/vacancy/274698/review/published?from=eyJpdiI6ImI3OWRmNWY1ODY4MjU5ODg5NGMyMTUxOGY1MmEyYWZiIiwiY29udGVudCI6ImVjMGRiNzkxYTYxYjRlMzQwZTg2MDIwZDkwYjQzOTk1NGVmMzNjYWI1YTUxMTliZmZiOWIifQ%3D%3D and here: https://beta.jobs.nhs.uk/vacancy/277015/review/published?from=eyJpdiI6IjYwY2Y2NmNiYjM4YjI1ODZjOWM4YjNjMTcyOTc1OTU1IiwiY29udGVudCI6IjY0OGU4MGM2MTk5NDI5NDVmMjYxMzIxZDVhZDM4NDQ1NzU0MDkzOWFmZDExYjk4OWYyZTMifQ%3D%3D
  2. My son has lost his Tommy Hilfinger wallet - somewhere along Turney Road/Burbage Road yesterday evening. Contents are driving licence, Lloyds debit card and not much else. Reward for its safe return.
  3. Mr Blaney is the St Thomas' paws ENT consultant. He does private ops etc and we've found him to be excellent.
  4. Try www.alarisavenue.co.uk They sell high quality units direct from manufacturers. You'll need to find a fitter but you'll get more units than you think for your money from them. We fitted a very large kitchen for under ?10k and it looks like it cost twice that. I'd really recommend them.
  5. My 12 year old did this over the summer. Not so severe as to require an op. healed relatively quickly and although some limited movement at present, this is getting sorted by physio. He's already back to sport etc. Children mend fast!
  6. My eldest had the same. I like woodfalls. We use the one in west norwood now as seem to have a better stock for kids but lordship lane one very good too.
  7. Bells are good. If you can face the journey (although not as far as you might think) Burge and Gunson in Colliers Wood have zillions of things on display. Really helped me choose. http://www.burgeandgunson.co.uk/
  8. I'm going to post an ad for a silver scoot for sale soon. It is in really good condition. Let me know if that could be a brand you might be interested in.
  9. Have a look at 'luxury family hotels' . We've stayed in few and all have been just the ticket. Baby listening for dinner, cr?che if you want it during the day, spa, pool. Not cheap but a good escape with kids.
  10. We have done this and its brilliant. I would never go back to having washing machine/drier etc in the kitchen As others have said, no more lugging washing down and then up, no clothes hanging around downstairs, drying can be hung up out of sight, no noise of spinning machine during dinner etc The noise of the machine upstairs is not a problem and one of my children sleeps almost next to it through the wall! It might seem a bit odd to some but I think once you've tried it, you'll be converted. Will definitely catch on in UK.
  11. Yes! The little coffee van co. local people who are lovely http://www.thelittlecoffeevan.com/
  12. Anything over half way up Rosendale Road (to the playing fields) wouldn't have got a space this year. It's horribly tight.
  13. Could it be a twitch? My son had a series of twitches from that age. Some didn't last for longer than a few weeks, others for months. One was eye related - he made his eyes go bigger and looked to the side. No solution other than they pass in time and tend to pass quicker if ignored as much as possible. Good luck
  14. I had a very similar result at a kings scan. In addition, there was a possible heart problem, flattened nasal bone and a shorter than average femur. All high indicators for Downs Syndrome. I too had a private scan which supported the kings findings. It made for an extremely upsetting few weeks before CVS. Which came back completely clear and my now 4 year old is beautiful, with a tiny button nose. I fully understand what you are going through and I know it is no use me telling you not to worry. The best advice I think I was given at the time was to be sure that you make yourself aware of the options and obviously what decision you think you will make with the results you get back. I wish you all the best. Really feel for you. Xxx
  15. I wonder if the hosepipe ban will put pay to any fun of this type this summer? Does anyone know?
  16. If you put them in your freezer for the day and then give them a good hoover, the affected clothes might stand a fair chance!
  17. Yes! We have just got back and it was stocked in the local Eroski supermarket. I didn't look in other supermarkets so I am not sure if it is widely available. If you want the certainty, you could bung a 'sleeve' of weetabix in your suitcase?
  18. From experience, the nursery can notify Southwark of a late ammendment to their claim. Although I guess there is probably a cut off for that.
  19. It is a really good nursery. But they do stop at age 3 so you will have to change again then, as 3-4 year olds transfer to the school nursery (rather than childrens centre). For the last few years, all school nursery places have been taken by siblings. Good luck in making your decision.
  20. The citadines apartments all over the city are great. Have stayed plenty of times with our 3. Dont expect loads of space (it's Paris after all!) but they are much better than hotels when you are there with kids. We like the one at chatelet les halles best. Have a lovely time!
  21. Yes non members can go. It is a turn up, pay znd play club so fees due if you don't go. It is the same ?4 to members and non members. We have been going for 4 years and my now 8 year old still loves it. The coaches are really great- lots of fun, fair and inclusive. Have never done the toddler group but it is run by the same bunch so am confident it would also be good. The older childrens session is 9-1030 every Saturday. They also run full days in half terms and holidays.
  22. Looks like it could be - tvguide.co.uk is listing it as CDWM in South East London.
  23. Anyone got moths that prefer teeshirts to jumpers? I thought I had erradicated them last year with hoovering and cedar blocks, but the holes are appearing again in anything teeshirtlike, more so when they have a stretchy element to them. Never see moths though...Help!
