  1. Just been on the radio - Luke Wooster sounded dire
  2. Story about Peckham house prices rocketing!
  3. You could try the squad at Dulwich fusion, they train thurs pm and sat am, if you would like more then southwark team is run from seven islands...defo not up themselves but excellent coaching and options of training every night of the week and also competitions if interested
  4. James, Can you please provide details of any new secondary schools that will be opening? I love how you mention a "black hole" for primary where are all these kids going to go after year 6...we need more mixed comps in the area. Thanks
  5. Why do southwark have to be so different?? Interested to know how Sydenham Girls have done this year, their A level results were great (77% A*-C and 45% A*- B ) doesn't say if it includes maths and English though. Kingsdale very quiet how strange!
  6. I found this link... http://www.thisislocallondon.co.uk/news/10625802.GCSE_results_day_for_south_east_London_and_north_Kent_students___live_blog_on_Thursday/?ref=mr ?GCSE results day live blog, covering all the news from schools in Bexley, Bromley, Dartford, Gravesham, Greenwich and Lewisham Not southwark though!
  7. Can highly recommend Dulwich Magic Football...they start young and the kids love it, its outside and brilliant! Here's the website http://www.footballmagiccoaching.co.uk/
  8. Good luck getting them homed Sarah. I think CH are quite strict about how busy the roads are, I do know some ppl have been refused for that reason.
  9. Hi Sarah, We picked up our mum and 2 kittens on Sunday and saw your scrummy cakes (cupcakes with cat faces) they were amazing! Anyone thinking of getting kittens think about the mum its truly been a blessing to have her with her 2 very playful boys...
  10. Dulwich Multi sports programme is excellent its for girls and boys up to age 11/12 (yr 6)...its only ?17 a day much much cheaper than the dulwich ones. Its held at the Hamlet football ground next to Sainsbo's.
  11. We were at the stadium last night and had the privilege to see David Wier win the 1500m...it was a moment my friends family and myself will never forget...amazing! The stadium noise was deafening a massive WOW! Two events that have me completely bowled over - blind long jump and the high jump (hop on one leg and dive over the bar)
  12. Its excellent - and a good mix of boys and girls across all ages...my son loves it- just wished it was around my daughter was younger They group the kids by ages so your daughter wouldnt be playing any sport with a 10 year old - theres also swimming in the afternoons most days - optional I think.... Give it a go can highly recommend
  13. No advice but wishing you good luck its just so bloody tough as a single parent who needs the extra stress of your employer changing hours!! On childcare there a lot of college students that could do the longer hours its just finding them - not impossible I think if you go in with some sort of compromise on your part they may be willing to help/accomodate your needs (like say later could work but early def a no....) Best of luck
  14. Rye Lane - all those hair shops (not hairdressers mind!) - had a blast down there a few weeks ago as needed a wig for a party...usually at the back of the shops
  15. Vouchers or money - most kids espoecially girls that age love being able to "choose" their own clothes/jewellery/make up etc....or primark/h&m etc vouchers...primark is great for that age (actually all ages lol)
