  1. I'm really glad the Weinstein thing broke, it will do a lot of good in the long term and there is plenty of strong emerging evidence of illegal behaviour. But removing someone from a film when there is absolutely no evidence is just not part of a modern democratic system of justice. Career's and reputations totally ruined on no evidence of anything illegal and often years ago when there was a very different culture! Is that ok? On that basis I think almost anyone could be taken down if they spoke out against the wrong people. Also not condoning anything Spacey did or did not do!
  2. Not saying I totally think it is as these cultures totally do exist and need shifting. But given that it seems realistic that there is an attack on democracy happening at the mo I was wondering if anyone thinks there are similarities. Its a heck of a way to take a politician or outspoken celeb down!
  3. Someone has been watching too much stranger things! (or maybe i have!)
  4. Really creepily the power of the internet just gave me their address!
  5. Hi, I found a galaxy phone just now. PM me with name and school and I can return it. Otherwise I?ll Hand it into police Monday. Or you could call it.

  7. I noticed a sign on the entrance to an industrial yard on the corner of Melborn grove which said it had a licence to deliveroo. Might be because of this? How Deliveroo's 'dark kitchens' are catering from car parks https://www.theguardian.com/business/2017/oct/28/deliveroo-dark-kitchens-pop-up-feeding-the-city-london?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
  8. Damp?
  9. Sorry to add to the rant but i was really freaked out last week when a boy (11 or 12), walked out of a side street straight across crystal palace road without looking or taking down his massive hoodie (a minecraft hoodie). There was no way he was able to look up and down the road and he didn't even try. I was going very slowly so he lived!
  10. I got rather excited about this post. Thought we had had a local lego art pop up! Good post though. Totally agree!
  11. Did you tell the people in the cafe?
  12. I second this one, go for dinner somewhere nice and local before baby arrives. Peachpie Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Perhaps do something special before the baby is > born. Weekend away? Depends how she's feeling with > the pregnancy.
  13. Thanks for the recommendation. We used them and they were really organised, professional and very nice!
  14. 1. The music teacher is a specialist, probably teaches every child only once a week, unlikely to know parents. 2. Good for the school, conscientious checking child's safety. It is unusual for a 7 year old to enter a school alone. 3. Bazar! Must have been some kind of misunderstanding? Kids not picked up usually goto the reception. Schools are usually super hot on this stuff as it's safeguarding. Hope that gives you the feedback you need. I will add that's it probably best to take this to the school rather than a public forum.
  15. People can set up local sites, its totally their right but the name is really far too similar. Lacks class! Edited to add, just had a better look and they have even ripped off the structure of this site.
  16. Definitely go for a kings referral but while you wait try using Aveeno daily moisturising cream. Its made with oats, keeps skin soft for ages and totally takes the itch out. Makes a massive difference. I know i sound like an advert but I have been trying different things for 40 years and this is the bomb! They sell it at Sainsburys.
  17. 90p for a top class samosa, cheese block rocks!
  18. Thanks for the replys, we went for large normal velux in the end as our kids are sill young and the balcony thing felt a bit dangerous, esp as our views are not that good!. Sorry for late response, its been a bit of a building site around here :)
  19. Hi, Sorry for such a random thread but with so many loft extensions going on i though someone might have tried these new windows. http://www.velux.com/products/product_overview/roof_windows/roof-balcony_and_-terrace I was definitely going to install one but one of the loft guys said not to buy one as they are not very sturdy. Has anyone tried them and if so would you recommend them? Thanks
  20. I freeking love that Turkish shop. It never lets us down, it sells EVERYTHING. Will give the Butchers a Butchers, ha! (sorry jokes by DJ Dad). Also looking forward to a Kebab!
  21. Would Harris becoming co-ed with the boys school becoming a sixth form make the Harris schools more appealing?
  22. Co-ed, non faith and non Harris please and possibly to include an ASD resource base. Put me down to be on list to be considered for committee. Have mailed James my details.
  23. I did appeal! but apparently 'stopped', 'parked', or 'waiting', are all the same. So be warned ED!
