Hope you all had a good evening. I was in Las Vegas - is that a good enough excuse? Got back today but luggage apparently is still in the US. Oh well... Are we going to go for 5th Oct for the next forum drinks or later in the month?

Personally I've enjoyed being a member of this forum and have met some great people through it. But if some people wish to use other forums that's up to them! I don't think this forum will suffer as a result - and it doesn't need to be promoted because it has managed to get where it is today without the need for publicity.

Ok - the next drinks, which should be on 7th Sept, are cancelled due to Forum birthday bash on the 21st Sept The October drinks will be on Friday 5th October - venue to be confirmed. Is this right and ok with all?

Ah Jim Bergerac - I really fancied him when I was younger.... We were in the EDT on Sunday - there was a fight and the police were called, by which time those involved had scarpered. It all happens in ED...
